- Q: my laptop only boots on the battery but not when power cable is plugged in?
- That is a power-saving feature to conserve battery charge.
- Q: Title says it all, Can you please show the link to it like on OKorder or something, thanks.
- I agree completely with the reply above However SOME eSATA cards that have external power jacks to power the external drive will have either a four pin Molex plug (same as an IDE/PATA drive) or a Floppy power plug. And back in the day when Firewire was more common any good firewire card had a power socket on it, again, either a Molex plug or a floppy power plug. AD
- Q: I got a PNY geforce 9800 gt 1gb graphics card from bestbuy and once I got it I noticed it didnt come with a power supply cable which most of the 9800s require. Anyone know why it didnt come with the power supply cable.

- Q: This is in terms of military property acocuntability.
- Like so many answers: it depends. A power cable for a desk top computer is usually expendable. A power cable running from a generator to a junction box is not. or property book will tell you what it is.
- Q: Copper core power cable laying (cable section YJV4 * 35 + 1 * 16mm2) Will the dawn of the software in how the amount of superposition? The Please master instructions, the problem added: YJV4 * 35 + 1 * 16mm2 is not the 4 * 35 + 1 * 16 = 156mm2 copper core power cable laying (cable section 156mm2) to count, more
- Buy a distributor on the line, the computer city generally have
- Q: This is all I got in my PC, where is it?
- That's a SATA drive - you're looking for a black connector, something like the one connected to the drive. If you don't have one (the white one that looks like it's touching the back of the drive in the picture is a PATA power plug), you can buy an adapter, so you can power the drive with the PATA plug.
- Q: I am usng a ripspeed R2100 Amp JMB 1000W Sub speaker the amp has 2 25amp fuses attatched, but I do not know what fuse to use in the main audio power cable, I have been upto 40 amp it blew that, I dont know if I maybe have wire something wrong, can anyone help, thanks
- G man and timothy are the only ones who are right. The others do not understand about fuses. The current rating is an absolue so an 8amp fuse will blow when 9 amps goes through it. The voltage is just an indication of the possible use, but it just does not matter in this range. At all. SO sorry your husband is right and it would work fine and give exactly the same protection as the original. You are not changing the specification in any way that matters. If you want the physics, heat produced in a wire equals I (current) squared x R (resistance) x time (seconds) Joules. No voltage element in that equation. SO if the current flowing generates more heat than can radiate away from the fuse wire, it will get hotter until it melts - when the fuse has blown.
- Q: Acoustic Audio 10 inch home theatre powered subwoofer use speaker wire or subwoofer cable?
- As you used the phrase The wire that was included for the subwoofer, I'll presume that we're talking Home Theater in a Box here. As someone above mentioned, sub frequencies can use a lot more energy. In a larger system where you are consistently running several hundred watts over longer distances, a larger wire would probably be benificial. For a HTIB system such as yours the wire that came with it would be more than adequate over the short run that would typically be needed. Having said that, there is nothing wrong and nothing will be damaged by going to a larger gauge wire. Just not a lot of benefit.
- Q: I just plugged a 300V power cable into power supply that accepts 115-240V then turned on the power supply. The power supply was not connected to the motherboard. I don't have another cable so I can't really check if its still working nor do I want to try again with the 300V cord if it can potentially cause damage.
- It needs to be connected to the motherboard, before it will operate. 300V, just means the capacity of the cable.
- Q: I have a Raidmax 730w power supply, and its modular. there is only one plug in for a 6 pin, and the cable has 2 different 6 pins on the same cable. Will this cable be able to run 2 different video cards running XFire? or will is also be able to run say a 6870 that requires 2 6 pin connectors?
- You should be able to feed two cards that each require 1 6/8 pin PCI-E power source... or 1 card that requires 2 6/8 pin PCI-E power source. A cable with 6 pin provides 75W power to the card. With the 75W available on the PCI-E x16 slot, that would be a 150W supply. 2 6 pins will up the available wattage to 225W. Cards that require a 6 pin and 8 pin are 300W cards. Your cable/PSU port is designed to provide any of those combinations of power to the videos card(s).
