Q: I want to install a Bazooka Powered Sub (EL84-HP) to my car. I currently have a Pioneer 4-channel 600-watt amp that has a direct power line from the battery. However, I do not want to run another power line from my battery to my Bazooka sub, which has it's own built-in 100-watt sub. Would it be OK to connect the power cable only from my Pioneer amp to my Bazooka sub?
Yes and no. You can use the existing power line to your amp, but you need to use a power distribution block (available from Wal-Mart by Scoche). Run your main line into the dist. box and then run one line to your amp, and another to your Bazooka.
Q: Apparently my computer has a 300 watt power supply. I am wanting to purchase a new graphics card but apparently in order to get a better graphics card then my existing card, Geforce 8400, I need a larger power supply. What will I need to purchase to increase the power supply to 500 watt and is it really worth buying all this? I am thinking I might aswell save up a bit more and buy a new computer.Any help apprietiated, thank you.
it depends on what you have in your existing computer. I did a quick check regards power consumption on a couple of different set ups and you could well get by with out having to change your PSU at all if you chose the right video card. I checked an Athlon II 250 with 2 sticks of DDR2 a single hard drive and a single burner with your card and then changed to a Radeon 4670 and a 5670. Both the Radeons did not need to have a PSU bigger than 350W. I next checked a Pentium D at 2.8GHz (yup a P4 roaster) with a similar set up and video cards and was quite surprised that it would make do with a 400W unit. I have been quite impressed with the performance and low power usage of the recent Radeon cards, especially the mid and low end ones. As a 300W unit was mostly used in low end boxes, you may indeed want to consider a new machine. I find that the current crop has some real interesting low and middle range offerings starting at about $400. YMMV. BTW a 500W unit is a decent choice if you intend on keeping your box and upgrading it. Good luck.
Q: im having probelms with the end piece that goes into the computer, and it needs to be replaced.
if you are a do it yourself guy try to get the plug at a electronic shop like Radio Shack and replaced yourself that will be the least expensive option, most adapters had the cable attached to the power supply so the next option will be to replace the power supply that will cost at least 60 dollars also try OKorder sometimes you get parts very cheap there.
Q: I bought a used DVD player that didn't come with a power cord or power cable. On the back of the DVD player, the power cable input looks like this:__________|_o__|__o__)So basically it looks like the power cable should have two wires with one side being flat and the other end being a half circle. What is the technical name for this power cord so I can easily find it if I go to Radio Shack? Thanks.
Ask for a 6 ft AC power cord. They come in a few difference shapes so just describe what you did here. If it helps reference Radio Shack model/catalog number #61-2878. Good luck!
Q: Hi everyone, I recently purchased a PS3 used not slim and am having a tough time with it. For one, I don't even know how to charge my four red dot blinking controller and turn on the ps3. I'm wondering since I got everything hooked up but still not even a red dot on the ps3 when I put in the power cable at the end there is that thing with the three things sticking out, where do I put that? Like a place where I charge my phone? I think that's why I'm having problems. Thanks.
ok. the PS3 uses a standard 3 prong plug, similar to what your PC would use. plug that in, and then into the wall. older PS3's also have a power switch right above the power cord. you have to turn the system on here. after you filp the switch, the PS3 enters standby mode. on to your controller you should have gotten a very short usb cable. the larger end plugs into the system.the smaller into the controller. push the PS button on the center of your controller to sync it. it should go from 4 flashing lights to one. then, it should steady flash position 1 to show that it is charging. one it is charged, or when the usb cable is removed, you should get a steady light. no flashes.
Q: when i start up the laptop it works fine ,when the power cable is plugged in the lights will flash sometimes and the laptop will not recognise that it is plugged in. i have bought a new adaptor and this is still happening, any help would be great
How old is the laptop? Send it back now!!! Get yer money back! I've had an Acer laptop and my mate has two! All of them very, very problematic! Acers look not bad on paper (specs etc) but they are nothing but garbage! I HATE ACER!!!!! They shouldn't be allowed to sell the crap that they do!!!!
Q: Hi,I bought a new 500GB HDD today, with a SATA cable (data) but I don't know what kind of power cable I need?I looked around and saw Sata to Molex and all kinds of things, I've never had to hook up a second hard drive before and the terms are confusing me. Could anyone tell me what kind of cable I'll need and where I'm supposed to hook them up to?Thanks!
Your PSU, should have all of the needed connectors.
Q: I was watching a YouTube video awhile ago and this guy was reinstalling his cables to his amp. I heard him say that he ran the RCA one on the opposite side of the car so there won't be anymore humming? I currently have my power, RCA ,and rem wires running from front to back on the driver side. Should I re run the RCA one on the passenger side? Will my system sound better?
i substitute into continually informed to not run capability next to RCA cables. when I ran my cables I ran capability on one side and speaker and RCA down the different side in my motor vehicle. It even says to do it this type in my amp handbook;Plan the twine routing. save RCA cables close jointly yet remoted from the amplifier's capability cables and any intense capability vehicle upload-ons, distinctly electric autos.it is performed to ward off coupling the noise from radiated electric fields into the audio sign.
Q: I got a PNY geforce 9800 gt 1gb graphics card from bestbuy and once I got it I noticed it didnt come with a power supply cable which most of the 9800s require. Anyone know why it didnt come with the power supply cable.
There are two versions of the 9800 GT card - a 600 MHz version that needs the 6-pin power cord, and a slightly slower 550 MHz version that doesn't (i.e. the 550 MHz version uses < 75W that the PCI Express slot can provide without external power).
Q: And if so how much would that cable be and could you supply a link to get it from that place?Im really struggling to find any details of where i can get one so could you possibly check out the item and see if there is any help on there?I currently have a 3A 250v Power cable and i'm wondering if that can help? Thanks alot and if it helps ill pick a best answer soon. Thank you!
High input cable ...? Not really sure what that is, Also, that power supply is junk. 750W and it only has a single 6-pin PCI? That's sad. Good 750W power supplies are at least ?70 and have four 6-pin PCI cables. Heck, a good 430W costs more than that and it's guaranteed to perform better.
