Aluminum Power Cable - Aluminum Type MC

Q: This is a self built computer. When using it in a different room, it functioned normally. However, now that I've moved it to a new room, it would constantly reboot or just loses power entirely. With the latter, I would have to remove the power cable and hold the on button for a while before I could turn it back on. Also, when I shut it down, the computer would reboot by itself instead.
Hi There, I would suggest shutting it down, unplugging the power and holding the power button on for a few seconds to discharge any remaining power. Next open the side cover and check all the cables to make sure none have worked loose while moving to the next room. While the case is open would be a good time to blow out any dust, etc inside and clean any air filters. Hope this helps, Al
Q: cause i wanna make my gameplay hd, but when the hdmi cable is in, there not enough space for the power brick cable,
Seeing as the power cable gives the system the power it needs to run, no, you can't play without it. However, you are able to play with both the power cable AND the HDMI cord. There's enogh space for both to fit into the console, and the power cord plugs into a wall outlet while the HDMI cord plugs into your TV's HDMI slot. There shouldn't be any problem with room.
Q: I'm running a 3ghz ecs p965t with 2gb of RAM, and I'm trying to install an XFX 8800GT. First time I tried it, it didn't power on at all, and I figured it might be the power supply (mine was a 350w) so I tried a friend's 450w, still no power. So I went out and bought a 500w, and STILL no power. Wierder still, if I leave the card plugged into the board but don't plug in the power connector, it makes a long high-pitched wailing sound but the system does power itself.I'm assuming it must be a problem with the card itself, but does anyone have any other possibilities I could try before negotiating a replacement in PC World?
I think its the card. This is not uncommon. Card sounds DOA. Exchange it. 500 watts is good, the others are not, but lack of power would not kill a card, I don't believe. good luck. 8800GT is a sweet card, thats what I have, I play at 1920x1080 and get between 40 and 60 FPS in far cry 2 and great frames in oblivion maxed out. I get around 30 in crysis on high.
Q: I need to select a power cord for a computer and other appliances (like a printer). Power cords usually have their amps and voltage (capacities?) imprinted on the outside. What is the rule of thumb for selecting a power cord and why?For example, if my printer has the following requirements:Power Source AC 120V 50/60 HzPower Consumption - 5W-350WWhat amp/voltage type of power cord will do the job?I am of course concerned about overloading the cord with too much electric requirements.(People who actually know this matter SPECIFICALLY only need to reply; please excuse if the electric language is not used right.)
A 5A cord would do the job.
Q: the contant power cables go to my car alarm, led lights, siren, power locks, power windows, and alarm bypass... they are very small thin awg wires... the ignition and constant power cables under ignition housing are alot thicker... is this possible with no problems?
I wouldn't tap into any wires where your alarm is.. If you have any issue, it could arm your alarm, and you might not be able to start your car, until the wiring was fixed...
Q: What is resistance of the cable (resistivity of copper is1.7x10^-8)Answer is 14 ohms. But please explain how do we get there in full detail.
Resistance (R) of a wire is given by: R = ρ.L / A where (ρ) is the resistivity of the wire in Ω.m ; (A) is the cross sectional area of the cable in m? ; (L) is the length of the wire in metres. Radius (r) of one strand = (0.51 / 2) = 0.255 mm = 0.000255 m Cross sectional area of one strand = πr? = (π * 0.000255?) = 2.0428 x 10^-7 m? Total cross section of cable = (12 * 2.0428 x 10^-7 m?) = 2.45 x 10^-6 m? R = (1.7 x 10^-8 * 2000 / 2.45 x 10^-6) = 13.87 = 14 Ω to 2 significant figures.
Q: I bought a grand am and i was going to install a amp. in the trunk there are servil wires comming out of the side but idk which is with what does the power cable look like? the rc cables remote ect? all the ends are just cut off
the power cable is red the remote cable is blue and the ground is a short cable ..black color the rca's are two inputs..hahaa i hope that helps you
Q: my power cord on my laptop is acting up to the point where I have to literally hold it in place to have it charge the battery and now the computer isn't coming on- the battery light is showing up when you push the power button but i don't know if it is charging-if there is anything you can tell me to fix this, that would be great!!
My power cable was having a problem too. What I did was just go out and get another cable because it seems that it is either your battery, or your power cable. So just go out get it replaced and Wala! It should work again...
Q: And my other drive has the only analog audio cable on my motherboard hooked up to it, and i know i need to plug in one more cable, because windows wont start up the way i set it up and idk what needs to go into which port.
Are your drives IDE, SCSI or SATA? If they are IDE, are the jumpers set correctly for master/slave or cable select?
Q: I have a HP compaq laptop and a few months ago I started having a problem where my laptop sleeps/powers off when I plug in the power cable. The computer runs fine on battery but as soon as the charger cord goes in the screen goes black and the fans stop but yet the computer is still on.If the charger is plugged in when I switch on my computer I just get a blank screen. I have tried replacing the battery and the cord, changing the power settings, hibernate settings, taking the battery out etc. It's really annoying. Please help!
Curious....are you turning the laptop off before you plug the power cord in??...
