- Q:If i have two cars and i get a 6 suspension lift on one, and a 6 body lift on the other will they look the exact same. Because it looks like body lifts are higher. Oh and how much would a body lift cost, thanks.
- A 6 body lift would be complete and utter fail. I personally wouldn't do a body lift higher than 2.
- Q:Ok So I need to change one of my tires. It is a 2000 VW Passat GLX. The car is kind of low, I think thats how it came, I don't mean dropped like a low rider, but lower than most cars. When I do the oil changes, I need to lift it because the drain pan just fits. Anyways, I don't know exactly where to place the JACK, i dont know where to place it to lift it. I am worried I might place it in the wrong place and might break something or even cause serious damage to the lower body of the car. Can someone please help??? If possible can you please explain the position of the jack, for both front and back. I really don't want to cause any damage to my car. Thank You all for your help.
- Just behind the front wheel, roughly in line with the front door hinge line, where the body sheet metal curves inward under the car, you will find a small dimple, same just ahead of the rear wheel in the same area. The dimple marks the lift point. The jack is positioned in line with the dimple, behind or straddling the metal crease located there. Its also described in the owners manual, or a sticker on the jack itself.

- The compressed air must exert a force greater than 1.477x10^3N because the ratio of piston surface areas is 9:1 (15/2)^2 / (5/2)^2 9 Pressure must be in excess of 236.44N/cm^2 or 23.644 bar. The 236.44 comes from 13300N / (15/2)^2 cm which is of course also 1477.77N / (5/2)^2 cm (equal pressure for the two pistons, different forces proportional to the piston areas)

- The bigger lifts are allot of money. Another alternative would be fender trimming fender flares, and a combo lift like a body lift and a suspension Lift The big money kits are nice because they eliminate all the guess work of trying to match components and hunt down all the little stuff yourself its all there the drop link the shocks usually. You might find a more trail ready rig if you go with an older Ford that someones already invested time and money into like an old Bronco. the cheaper of the good big tires in my opinion is the Interco Bogger in the radial style Tire Don't get the Bias Ply unless you have the Rig off road all the time. Those Bias Plies take forever to warm up. Remember with the high dollar kits they usually ride allot nicer.
