- Q: I have an 08 base altima s with the hub cap wheels. I want black 20 racing rims. I have no clue what to get in the way off size and offset so my sensors, handling and spedo don‘t get jacked up.BTW: please don‘t respond with some google search that I could have found. I‘m looking for someone with real knowledge of the car and rims. Thanks in advance.

- Q: If i were to lift a classic car. 1 do you do this by putting the car on a truck frame? what truck frame should i use. i heard that the blazers have a very simular wheel base, verify anyone?2 is there anyway i could register it after wrds when its all over. i mean like is there hope it could be street legal3 did you do this? see it in person or just a car and truck guy?
- The easies way to do it is by putting the body on a truck frame. some things to consider when selecting vehicle are total length(you need a frame close to the length of the original), is the wheelbase close?(otherwise you will either have to cut fenders or move axles), where are the body mounts in relation to the car?(new ones will have to be welded in most cases) is the width of the frame close?( you don't want a frame wider than the car) Yes it is possible to register afterwards. the dmv will want the title from both vehicles and a list of all parts and expenses so they can calculate a value for registration expenses. so save reciepts. last they will do a complete safety inspection.(horn, headlights, tail lights, turn signals, windshield wipers, mudflaps if needed, seatbelts, parking brake.) I have seen it personally and am also a mechanic. it will be a serious undertaking but it is completely possible
- Q: My passenger side tire has a nail in it. Its losing air really really slowly. I will not be able to bring it in until Tuesday and do not have a spare tire. I was going to drive another car, but could I lift the passenger side with a jack to relieve tire pressure on it? Would this be a good idea?If not please let me know what I should do so I can make it to belle tire safely on tuesday for them to patch it up for me. Helpful comments only please. Thanks!
- This will do nothing to help slow the airflow out of the tire.What you should do is buy some tire plugs in a kit that's sold in every auto parts store and then google how to plug a tire on youtube(I'm sure someone has video taped themselves doing this)You could try fix a flat.E-mail me and I will talk you through it.You will need to tell the tire tech there is fix a flat in the tire.They sell 12 volt air compressors at family dollar,advance auto,auto zone etc.
