SBS Modified Bitumen Waterproofing Membrane materials using polyester reinforcement for waterproofing is a new type of wateproof material,it's made from polyester felt as its reinforcement featuring high strength, elongation and erosion resistance, SBS compound as its modifier for meeting the torched-on applications, it shall be covered with polyethylene membrane(PE),aluminium foil, colorful sand or mineral granule on its top surface and polyethylene membrane(PE)coated on its under face. This series of membrane is designed for the waterproofing of underground construction such as tunnel, subway, basement, roofs and pools etc.
SBS Membrane installation procedure
1.Base processing:the base surface must be clean, solid, level, dry;no grit, rift and loosing dust. For a large recess, fill it with cement mortar and then level it. Remove the protrusion and clean dust.If working on base slab or lateral face, water lowering should be done.
2. Painting primer:before laying the membrane, clean the dust on the surface of concrete base with dust catcher or dust-blower;then paint entirely with treatment agent of DY primer for waterproofing(for purpose of dust consolidation and high adhesive effect).
3.Heat to melt: place membrane correctly, fire torch, heat the membrane with base entirely, when the surface of the membrane is black and bright with a fusion layer, apply the membrane and press it into a solid and flat state. Before the membrane is cool, seal the edge of joint by float
4.Requirements for lapping: There should be less than 3 layers of lapping, with the joint seams appearing as"T" type, avoid 4 layers of lapping. The width of longitudinal lapping is between 50 and 80mm,and of end-lap joint 100mm
- Q: ok my parents are saying that they want to have wood floor in both of the living room also in the hall ways and they also want rugs in the bedroomwhat do u think
- Yes! Hardwood floors increase a home's value because they outlast carpet and linoleum, and tend to look more sophisticated (unless they're installing those 2 1/2 inch wide oak planks that you see in more outdated homes. I hope they don't go smaller than 3 wide because wider planks are more in style now). By the way, the 5-6 planks look more country or Victorian and can look amazing in the right house. With hardwood floors you have the option bare wood or carpets/rugs on it, but with carpet you have only the option of carpet. With hardwood floors, you can change the look of a room simply by changing the rugs (it's like how throw pillows can change the look of a couch). I have Brazilian Cherry hardwood floors in dining, kitchen, breakfast nook, hall, laundry, and foyer and everyone loves them except our dog. Our dog can't get any traction and slips and slides so we had to put down a lot of rugs just for her. I think they're just as easy/hard to clean as tile or carpet, by the way. Hope this helped!
- Q: Well in my room im able to choose the flooring in it...Should i put in wood floors or carpet?do you like whts in your room or would you change it could you please write down falls and good qualites
- I prefer wood over carpet everywhere. It's so much easier to maintain and you can choose great room size or throw rugs to change your decor when you want. Carpets are high maintenance and require constant vacuuming and steam cleaning. Hardwoods are easy to Swiffer for dust and clean with OrangeGlo hardwood polish and cleaner. Hardwoods are elegant also. I would opt for the hardwoods.
- Q: Do most people prefer carpet over hardwood/vinyl/linoleum?Carpets collect dust hair mites and all things gross.. and you have to vacuum which costs money.. not to mention hard work and is loud and annoying. Also, many Americans wear shoes in their homes. So why would you want a flooring that collects the dirt on the bottom of your shoes? When has home carpeting become generalized standards for most homes? Anybody know?
- It's cheaper. It's more comfortable. It's less work to maintain. I wouldn't buy (or rent) a home without it.
- Q: What kind of carpet do you use in the office?
- Office carpet belongs to chemical fibber carpet commonly, and carpet of carpet of polypropylene of the majority, this kind of carpet wearability is strong, and polypropylene carpet is easier to clean up. Polypropylene carpet can be said to be the first choice of office carpet, carpet is the best cleaning varieties.Choose ring velvet or cut velvet material of square carpet, suitable for office decoration, environmental protection, durability and antifouling performance, fashionable and generous, moderate price. The office carpet can play a very good decorative effect, carpet color and pattern can choose according to their own preferences, but the office carpet can reduce noise, help you to create a quiet and comfortable office environment, once again, the office carpet can play the role of slip. The box office of the assembled carpet carpet, it is a popular, small size specifications it is generally 500mmX500mm, construction convenient and efficient for customers to replace, because each precise size, no matter which piece is damaged or contaminated, can immediately remove the cleaning or replacement, then recover. Long service life, overall effect elegant, style, concise.
- Q: My carpet had high traffic so I bought a large bottle of carpet spray from the grocery store. I sprayed and worked the solution in with a sponge, I cleaned a 5X7 area = 35sq ftSome parts of the carpet are still kind of damp when walking on them, it has been 20 hours.I have my windows open and I live in Colorado, very dry...humidity meter in my house says 26 right now. Even with my windows open for the past 20 hours the carpet still isn't completely dry.I am concerned about mold because I lived in a house once where we had mold problems and I don;t want them again! I read Mold can grow very fast...Since I used carpet cleaner and didn't just pour water on my carpets will the carpet cleaner cause mold the same way water will? Thanks!
- All carpets are magnets for dust, dirt, mold and mildew, especially the carpet backing and pad. Humidity (moisture) is not the only culprit for carpet mold. Temperature and cleanliness are equally important, too. Maintaining low temperatures where carpets reside is key. Four years ago, I removed all carpeting in my home, and replaced with tile and wood flooring. And that has made all the difference! Less dust allergies! My family sleeps better at night. For those who insist on carpeting, I recommend vacuuming weekly, and hiring a professional carpet cleaner with truck-mounted unit, once a year. And not the portable type that can be rented at grocery stores. Two important benefits of the truck-mount: One, the water is heated to 190+ degrees Farhenheit. Secondly, a powerful suction (powered by the engine). Much more powerful than any household vacuum.
- Q: Im having trouble finding a rug that I like for my living room, so I was thinking of finding a large carpet remnant to use in the space instead. Does anyone have any tips for finishing the edges of the carpet to prevent frays and little carpet fuzzies taking over my living room?
- Almost any carpet store will either have on site or access to a rug binding service. When I had my store , we had the color choices of the binding and we then sent the carpet remnant out to a place that did just that, bind the edges to stop it from fraying. Ours were sent out on fridays and returned on the next friday. Just check with your local mom and pop carpet store. Most all places charge by the linear foot to bind or serge a rug. Berbers generally ran more to do this. Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar. GL
- Q: I have several cats, but only recently she decided to do her job on my area rug, yet she'll tinkle in the litter box...Any answers as to how I can get her back into doing both in the litter box...
- try using cat attract litter. It works magic.
- Q: I have a massive rug on my floor carpet. We have it because our carpet is maroon and carpet is brighter so during the day and night, the room doesn't look that dark. The problem i am facing is that my rug is sliding/moving (slowly) towards the way we walk. I have tried the Rug Tape that we stick under the rug to give it grip, that did not work.I am wondering what other solutions maybe. I will only Screw my rug to the carpet/floor if that is my only option. Every week, we have to move the swing (indoor), the heavy sofa, bird cage (we have pets) and other furniture to actually fix it and it takes a lot of time. I need multiple options if possible, but hopefully some of you may have had this and found a great solution for it. I am willing to spend money to get this problem Fixed. My option does not include getting rid of the rug.Thank you for helping.
- Carpet speaks to wall to wall. Rugs are for areas and though they are available in many sizes they are not considered carpet. In very old times when rooms were all hardwoods, people did refer to their large rugs as carpets but that was then and this is now. There was no carpeting back in those times as we have now.
- Q: Can anyone suggest the best carpet cleaner ( aside from a steam cleaner...) for a light-tan-old carpet? The stains are from the previous owners; but, also, are over active puppies bladder... Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreicated... Thanks...
- We have a rug doctor that we use at home and with rentals and with extremely hot water and a good carpet cleaner the stains do come out. The trick is to saturate the padding below as well as the carpet and extract it so the stain comes all the way out. Vinegar rinse helps the smell go away and does clean as well. (white vinegar) As well as a good pet stain cleaner you can purchase We have 7 year old carpets and they always come clean if you keep them that way. Rug Doctors can be rented as well as bought. If not some of the over the counter types just do not deep clean steam is the best . Good Luck :)
- Q: How do I clean my large area rugs? I have hardwood floors and the rugs are covering different areas. Two are 4 x 7 rugs and the other is a 5 x 7 wool carpet. I don't want to harm the wood floors underneath with cleaners...
- you should get chem dry to come to your house and clean them for you. do a search on chem dry to see if there's a local service available.
