Preferably good carpet cleaners that are can remove difficult spots and stains from light colored carpets.: I've used Las Cruces Carpet Cleaning in the past and in my opinion; they are provide the absolute best service in town. They helped me clean and restore some very dirty carpets in one of our rentals back to brand new. The tenants we had didn't bother to clean the carpet before they left and it had nasty traffic lanes as well as spills everywhere, not to mention pet odors in one of the bedrooms. I really thought we would have to replace all the carpet in the house, but luckily we didn't have to. Give them a call. They saved us a ton of money.

Q: we have narrow living room in which we put a sectional. we are unable to place the area rug. any suggestions?: Place the rug down first and then overlap the sectional onto it. If the rug is big enough, you can place the entire sectional onto it and still have enough of the rug exposed to look right. Just play with it until you get enough of the rug exposed to look right and don't worry about how much of it is under the sectional. It will look fine. Trust me, I've done it many times.

Q: ive got 2 rugs in my kitchen i need to wash but they have a rubber back and im worried if i put them in the washier the rubber will wear off. last time i washed my fathers rugs for him the rubber started to come off in small chunks (it was also the first time they had ever been washed) and i dont want the same to happen to mine. im not worried about drying them id just lay them outside on the porch rail and let them air dry. does anyone have any suggestions? if i hand wash them will they get just as clean as if they were washed in the washer?: You can wash the rugs in your washing machine. Regular detergent, fabric softener optional. (I never use it for rugs.) If you're worried about the rubber backing, use the Cold water option, and let them air dry. However...here's the caveat: If you wash the rugs and allow them to air dry, they won't look fluffy. They'll look a little matted. You can fluff them a little with a clean hair brush after they've dried or run them through the dryer on Fluff, but to make the rugs look really fluffy and pretty, you'll need to dry them in your dryer. If you dry the rugs in your dryer, the rubber backing will break down. It's a Catch-22. So your choices: 1. Wash them in Cold water and let them air dry. Then fluff them with a hair brush...or run them on the no heat option. This will preserve the rubber backing, but the rugs won't be as fluffy as they looked new. - or - 2. Wash them and dry them in the dryer. This will make the rugs beautifully fluffy, but the backing will come off in pieces. Good luck. -

Q: So I spilled red juice on my carpet last night and thought it would be a good idea to clean it up using bleach and clear soda. Needless to say the bleach kind of messed up the carpet. Is there any way to pull out any of the bleach or to make the stain a little less noticeable? PLEASE HELP!! I really don't want to loose the security deposit....: As a pro carpet cleaner, I work with a lot of land lords and property management company's, what you describe is a common problem with uninformed tenants. We call in a carpet laying specialist to remove the bleach damaged piece of carpet and fill in the now vacant spot with a piece of carpet removed from a closet. A new piece of similar carpet from a remnant is then placed in the closet. This method is far less expensive then replacing the entire carpet. It does take a pro to do this to make the repaired carpet less conspicuous. You can locate a carpet laying pro by contacting any store that sells carpeting. Remember to keep bleach and laundry detergent in the laundry room from now on. Trying to clean a spot on a carpet, if Nylon, with a laundry detergent, will also damage the carpet dyes. Good Luck.

I am guessing they figure it out by square foot and which type of carpet that you want...but just a round about answer, how much is carpet per square foot?: Round, average carpet will be around 3./3.50$ a s/f. This isn t fancy and not the cheapest... This is an installed price with pad ( 5 1/2# minimum) and standard installation. Won t cover rip out and disposal of the old. This is just a general price to get you an idea.. And your right.. carpet is only sold in the s/f format.. Never sold ( can be shown) in the s/y format any more. Its against the law now. Q: my baby girl is 16 months old . she makes mess in her room. i have hardfloor, was wondering what kind of rug would be ok as she makes a mess. and can u plz suggest me other things to buy for her room to make it beautiful and nice at reasonable price thanx: They have those thin, bamboo mats that are beautiful and don't collect dust that bad, therefore better for her to breathe.
