- Q: I'm ready to pull my hair out.I can't seem to figure out how to use the standard normal distribution table to find Z.The question isWe want to investigate a claim about the average sound intensity of certain vacuum cleaners. Suppose the sound is a random variable having a normal distribution with a standard deviation of 3.6 dB. Specifically, we shall want to test the null hypothesis u = 75.20 against the alternative hypothesis u gt; 75.20 no the basis of measurements of the sound intensity n = 15 of these machines. If the probability of a Type I error is to be a = 0.03, what is the probability of a type II error for u = 77 dB.How do I use the normal distribution table to find a = 0.03. The only thing I know is that I have to do 1 - a.After that I can't seem to find out the rest of it. Please. Plesae just help with that.
- It means like this.... In making a vacuum cleaner, since it is fairly complicated and made of many parts and does not come out exactly the same every time it is made, there are many small random effects that contribute to the amount of noise that the vacuum cleaner makes. The normal distribution is what we see whenever there are many random effects that are added together. If the same random effects apply every time, and the same measurement and sampling method is used the same time, then the distribution of the measurements will fit the normal distribution.
- Q: i need a good vacuum that won't break. my family and i had one that lasted for about 5-6 years then we kept buying vacuums for under $100 after that one broke then those broke within a month or two .. i need one that will last and won't be a waste of my money. one that is under $200 ... please help me...?? :-(
- Depending where you live you can check discount stores that may have some good ones for less money. that's how I found mine- for $50. a couple of years ago. It's a Hoover and has a removeable cannister so you don't have to deal with messy paper filter bags. I can't recommend one brand over the other since I don't have that much experience. Just be sure you do the necessary maintenance once you buy one so that it doesn't become clogged with dirt and other debree. None of them will last forever but if you get 5-6 years that's not bad
- Q: I have bought 4 vacuum cleaners in the past that all have fallen apart or just quit running right in the middle of using them, and all were less than 6 months old. I got tired of buying high price vacuum cleaners and them not lasting even 90 days. I have bought Hoover, Eureka, Dirt devil, and Phantom vacuums all of them turning out to be what I would say to be large rip offs.
- first of all I would like to know what your vacuuming up.Could it be the operator, just asking most of these will last longer than this... But if you can afford it try a Oreck or a Rainbow I have had both and on my second Rainbow both have lasted over 20 years
- Q: Someone knocks. You open the door. It's Jesus selling vacuum cleaners. Do you let him in for a demo?
- Does the inside of the Vacuum tube have soft cushiony interior? I like to use my vacuums for other purposes...
- Q: I would like to know which vacuum cleaners are better - Hoover Vs Kenmore?
- I have a hoover wind tunnel vacuum. I like it very much except it seems to eat belts. I have had it about 3 months and have gone thru 3 belts. They are cheap so I don't really mind. But overall it is the best vacuum I have used.
- Q: I know this may sound ridiculous, but whenever my parents run the vacuum cleaner, I get a really bad headache and I really want to get out of the house. I think it's because it's so loud, it blocks out every other sound and the sound is so annoying it's like nails on a chalkboard.Except that doesn't explain the panic attacks I get when I hear that sound 75% of the time. =/Any advice? Please?
- So you have a phobia for vaccum cleaners. A phobia is defined as being scared something will happen in the future. (Something like that) So the only thing you can do or the best thing to do in my opinion is to face it. Its a treatment actually. What you do is stay there when they vacuum. And even when your anxiety raises to the top. Because the way panic attacks work is they go up, and they hit the ceiling, and have to lower. So if you stay there, and let your anxiety peak, then lower back to regular. The fear that something bad will happen in the future will disappear. Or weaken largely. Because your sitting there, and nothing is happening, and even though you know inside nothing will happen to you your mind still reacts that way. (Like some people are afraid of bunnies) So sit through the vacuuming and I am sure that you will be able to face it time after time after that :D
- Q: Don't men vacuum too?
- Advertisements are set up to appeal to the audience that is most likely to purchase and utilize the product. Since, women are the the consumer that is most likely to use a vacuum, the advertisers try to show the women not only using the product, but enjoying an easier life because of the product. However, I've seen a few vacuum commercials which feature men. Plus, if you see a lawn mower commercial, it's probably a man riding it, because a man is the one most likely to use it in reality. ;-) I know it's disconcerting, but right now --- that's America!
- Q: Does anyone have one of those quot;stickvacuum cleaners? I am looking to buy a good suction stick vacuum cleaner to do my hardwoods every day. I have a Dyson DC40 but am returning it because I do not like it. I am looking for something to do my hardwoods every day, that's not too large or heavy and I think I'd like to stay away from the cordless. I have basically crumbs and dust to pick up in the kitchen/breakfast/dining room areas. We have no pets. Can anyone recommend something? Or tell me what NOT to buy?
- Funny you should post this question...I have been researching the lightweight vacuums...have seen what others own (didn't like...too noisy, etc)....and decided on sticking with BISSELL products as I love their line. I ordered a Bissell PowerForce Compact (in fuschia color, also comes in lime and plum) for $34.87 from Walmart online....was only 97 cents to ship it to my door! I absolutely LOVE it...it only weighs 11 lbs (which is less than each of my 2 cats!) and has a smaller path than a larger, bulkier vacuum. It comes with a crevice tool and a brush. It's cyclonic and easy to clean. Filter is washable. A drawback (if you think it is) is that the cord is not as long as larger vacuums...but the machine has GREAT suction power and goes from carpet to floor with no knobs to adjust. In fact, they have outstanding customer service: it happened that my machine was missing its brush, but when I called Bissell, they quickly are sending one out (no cost of course). If you want to see it...go to walmart and search for Bissell Power Force Compact. And it's not overly noisy either! My neighbor has a Dirt Devil and that thing is horrible!! Sounds like a jet engine and drowns out everything and doesn't come with tools. I put it to the test and it maneuvers nicely...and all the cat hair banished....so very pleased with it. Another alternative for you would be to check out the vacuum/steam mop for floors that Bissell has (but that's a lot more money)...but again, it all depends on what you want the vacuum to do. All in all.....stick with Bissell...my family and friends all have good luck with their product line.
- Q: Hello everyone,I was wondering which automatic in ground pool vacuum is good for cleaning?I am looking for something cheap and reliable, anyone have any experience with some good vacuum cleaners which does the job. Thanks,Jessica
- i own a pool company and your better automatic pool vaccums would be either a polaris or a creepy crawly but you can get them cheaper online then in a pool store. look under pool companies
- Q: need a new vacuum cleaner what is the best brand?
- I just bought the Boss Smart Vac by Eureka. It works great..I did have to take it back to wal mart twice to exchange for another.. Just stupid little things wrong with it. Like the handle release button broke off one time.. The one I have now works great no problems so far. Just make sure when you switch it over from floor to hose that the handle is in the reclined position or it will mess up the belt. I found out the hard way. Good Luck
