- Unfortunately with vacuum cleaners as with all other things in life, you get what you pay for. You aren't going to find a good pet vacuum for that price, unless you find someone selling a used but still functional one. I own a Dyson DC17 Animal. It does a great job, but also will run you close to $500. My less expensive Bissel Pet Hair Eraser was repaired under warranty 3 times and died again right after the warranty expired. Plus, it didn't clean half as well as the Dyson even when it was working properly.
- Q: Hi there,I know that a lot of bagless vacuums are sold as quot;Cyclonicquot;, but I remember hearing somewhere that only Dysons actually remove all the dirt from the air by cyclonic action, whilst the rest also rely on filters. Is it true that other companies can not (due to patents, etc.) make vacuum cleaners that work in exactly the same way as a dyson, or is it just an urban myth created by clever marketing on the part of dyson?If anyone (in the UK) has a vacuum they think is comparable to a dyson, I'd love to hear about it, cheers.
- I have the Eureka Boss SmartVac and I love it! It does a great job. I have kids, pets, and a husband who works construction, and it gets up all their dirt/dust/hair/etc... The suction is great and it has a switch to turn the beater bar off so you can use it on any hard floor surface. It's not bagless, but I had a bagless before, and I would never have another one again. It's very reasonably priced and I can't see how a Dyson could outclean it. Hope this helps. Good luck!
- Q: Our old dryer wouldn't dry clothes so we replaced it with a brand new one. We're having the same problem so I'm assuming the vent is blocked. I'm not very handy and I electrocute myself routinely so I want to make sure I'm not doing anything dangerous if I hop on the roof with and try fishing any crap out of the vent. Suggestions or warnings?
- You can buy a dryer vent cleaning kit. Look at home supply stores like Lowe's and Home Depot. follow the instructions and it will be like new again. It does take two people; one at the base of the vent and another in the attic or where the dryer vents.

- yes....yes it is!!! that is why you use a dust mop on hardwood floors for cleaning!!!

- I have had my Rainbow for about 4 years now and I love it! Yes - they are pricy are highly touted as the vacuum cleaner. I don't know if they clean the air or not - but I do know they pick up a lot that other vacuums leave behind! I'm sure that if the bag of most any vacuum exposed the dirt dust they pick up and then put that in water - you'd see a lot from most any vacuum. I can certainly attest to the fact that when I look at my carpets think they're not in bad need of vacuuming - after I vacuum - wow! They were much more in need that I realized. Also, you can put freshners in the water it does create nice smells through the house without saturating it. You can oils or liquids in the water to accomplish this. I don't know of the rust issues that others have addressed because I do emply mine after each use.
