- Q: Okay so for the past few years I've been making latch hook rugs. They take up too much space and I was wondering if there is a way to sell these? I don't really have people to sell them to, and I was wondering how one would go about getting rid of these projects while not throwing away all your cash. I am afraid to sell them on OKorder because someone might accidentally be deceived and think that it was an unfinished latch hook kit, and be surprised to find a completely finished rug at their doorstep. Any suggestions?
- You could sell them on Craigslist. You can sell ANYTHING on Craigslist! Craigslist lets you post pictures, if you wish ... so potential buyers would know what they were getting.
- Q: 7 feet wide and 11 feet long. do u know a website I can go to that can show me some prices on rugs?
- check okorder which shows you prices for different products,
- Q: It's a really nice 5'x9' woven American Indian area rug, but the people that owed it never took care of it. It cost over $100. to take it to a professional. Does any one have any idea's how I can clean it myself? In the olden days there had to been away!
- Use your steam air purifier with heat water and a effectual rug shampoo/detergent. place the rug on a no longer situation-free floor if mandatory. If the rug is colorations which you think of of would bleed on a similar time as moist, use cool water and intensely do the shampooing on a no longer situation-free floor, no longer a tender colour carpet for useful. an outdoors deck or sparkling storage floor or sparkling cement cdriveway works sturdy too. I even have used my rug steamer on all varieties of rugs and carpets and overall performance decrease than no circumstances had any situation. you ought to ought to flow over the spots a pair of situations.
- Q: Ok ... So I have two messy boys at home, a 2 year old and a 23 year old. They are, like I said, messy. There's nothing I can do to make them cleaner, so I was thinking about gettinga long rug to go in front of our couch. The couch is a dark green, our carpet is a light beige. Would that look retarded, or like a blatant cover up? And if I get one, what color should it be? Our walls are a light off white.
- When my boys were home I had an area rug that went under the couch, coffee table, and the chair across from it. I think it was 6' x 10' and it was washable. I could just take it out to the deck and spray it with the hose. Sure saved my carpet. I think if you could find a neutral tone darker than your carpet...maybe a sand with green flecks, it would tie the whole area together. Funny, now that the boys are on there own they are both very neat and good at cleaning.
- Q: Is new carpets have pungent odour is because of low quality?
- Glue smell, because the glue itself contains harmful substances . new carpets should be put in ventilated places for a period of time. taste is glue quality problem, suggested that the use indoor
- Q: At my house i want to replace my carpet, and i do not know what to do next after i take off my carpet?? can anyone please help me to replace my carpet??please help!!!
- Wall to wall....remove the old carpet and padding, check tack strips if still okay, vaccum floor, lay new padding, cut and stretch new carpet...better have an installer!
- Q: We moved into a new home, and until we change the carpet out, is there a temporary fix you can use to hide unsightly bleach stains on carpeting?
- A simple cover for a stain is an area rug. Or try to position the furniture so it covers the worst of it. Depending on the color of the carpet you can use some food coloring or strong coffee/tea to dye it back to a color (though not exact) that may not stand out as much as a bleached out spot.
- Q: I have a nasty old carpet and I don't want to replace it until I decide to get ceramic tiles or fiber glass vinyle. I went to Ikea and bought large area rugs. They move when we walk on them and they wrinkle. I used doubled sided tape, it didn't work. Can I use Gorilla glue? should I spray water first before using the glue?should I use super glue? I own the place, so it is ok to glue rugs to the carpet.
- Is the floor below the old carpet timber? If so.. nail the corners of the rug down. Move the pile of the rug apart and nail it to the floor so you cant see the nails. If that cant be done the other idea is glue or hand sew the a length of Velcro to the under side of the rug in each corner. Use the hook part of the Velcro so it catches the old carpet and hold the rug in place.
- Q: I am replacing carpet in my living room, hallway and 3 bedrooms. All with one kind of carpet. I am looking for something durable, stiff, non-furry so it's easy to maintain and resist stain. Almost every store we visited is selling different type of fabric. I am getting very confused. So far the fabric I've seen are nylon, smartstrand, BCF Strudon... anyone knows the difference?
- Carpets and rugs enhance the beauty of homes or commercial spaces. Most commonly used fibers to make carpets are wool (warm and durable), silk (most exotic), jute, some synthetic fibers like nylon, polyester, olefin, and acrylic, out of which polyester is durable of all. Bamboo carpets and Coir carpets form a different range of eco-friendly carpets.
- Q: I spilled Sunny D on my white shag carpet any ideas of how to get it out?
- If it were me, I'd take the opportunity to get rid of the shag carpet and replace it with something more practical. Otherwise ... blot the area dry as quickly and thoroughly as possible, insuring you also absorb the fluid from the padding. Once the bulk of the liquid has been removed, I'd spritz the area with water and allow it to sit for about five minutes, then repeat the blotting. Repeat until no color remains. Consider an inexpensive shampoo suitable for shag if needed.
