- Q: We are trying to get the carpet in one of our bedrooms in our house replaced, but we are on a tight budget. We went to home depot and they said they would have to charge us around $900 to replace all the carpet padding and install the new carpet. we said that we would leave the same padding (to save money), but the woman told us that it is an ohio state law that carpet companies MUST replace the padding if they are going to replace the carpet too. another company we called said this isn't true. was the lady at home depot just trying to get more money out of us, or is there really a carpet padding law? - what method do you actually use to clean your carpets? since the same spots are resurfacing and thats the area where your cats are then i bet you need to have the actually padding replaced there and probably the carpet as well. you dont want to ever let a pet get too comfortable in one area. they are attracted to their own smell. have that padding/carpet replaced and cleaned. and every so often rotate their area so they arent used to just one area. i know it may not be the best budget wise but with pets having carpet is the worst. tile is much better.

- I had the same problem with a wide shag rug that I easily have. I filled up my bath bath with water and extra some laundry detergent and form of hand washed it. I then took the rug out of the water, enable the water drain, filled the tub again with in simple terms water and placed the rug again in. I did this some more beneficial situations till i concept each of the cleansing soap had rinsed out. This did make a mess of my bathing room, even if it were given the rug searching and smelling new. i became shocked when I considered each of the airborne dirt and dirt and stuff contained in the water. It became quite gross. I then hung the rug outside contained in the solar to dry.

- Trust me throw it in the wash and set it to the setting you usually do to wash colors it`ll turn out just fine . Don`t bleach it though just use laundry detergent. And to dry it throw in the dryer. I have the same rug I tried this before I reccomend it.
