- Carpet stains: Mix equal parts white vinegar with water in a spray bottle. Spray directly onto the stains, let sit for several minutes, and clean with a brush or sponge using warm soapy water. For a heavy duty carpet cleaner, mix 1/4 cup each of Borax, salt and vinegar. Rub paste into carpet and leave for a few hours. Vacuum. After you get it clean - vacuum every other day - that is critical and don't wear your shoes on the carpet. Keep you feet as clean as possible. Animals are another source of dirt on floor surfaces.
- Q: I'm moving into a house and it is solid concrete, the walls and the floors. we want to install carpet in two of the bedrooms and we were originally going to get stick on carpet tiles, but they were unavailable. - carpet stores sell rubber back carpet that you can install over concrete no glue needed .you can install jute back or action back with double face tape or glue .. or just lay it down and let gravity do it's job..you don't have to have padding, but it does make it more comfortable
