- Try this put a tiny pit of dish soap in bucket of warm water saturate spot. then rinse and blot. then make a 50/50 mix of vinegar and water saturate and rinse and blot and let dry. I know it sound difficult but it doesn't take long and works great on spots and animal accidents. I used it to clean up the accidents when housebreaking our dog and there is no more smell or spots.
- Q: my doctor prescribed me this benzoyl peroxide gel for my face and i accidentally got a big glob of it on my rug. I went to clean it up with these red tissues and it started to turn my rug red! - Depends on the type of carpet that was installed. Some apts have a cheaper grade carpet in them and some times you just can t make a repair not show . Even a good seam job it may show because getting the exact same carpet you ll have a different dye lot and that sticks out worse than a bad seam. Even if you have a left over scrap pc the installed carpet can be dirty, ( even a cleaning won t get it back to the exact same) sun faded or even worn. This will all depend on the LL and what he/ she will accept.But be prepared to have to replace the carpet.If you have renters insurance , check into that. GL

- If you cant vacuum it, will it fit in the dryer? if so put it in there and put it on a cool setting for about 15-20 minutes along with a few dryer sheets if you'd like, just clean out the dryer vent when your done. it works on my rugs. good luck
- Q: We have a fantastic purple sheepskin rug that is in need of a really good clean, (4 year old and kitten have seen to that) is it safe to machine wash it or do i have to get it dry cleaned?
- Because it is dyed purple dry-cleaning is the best cleaning technique to preserve the colour long term. You could wash the sheepskin with the correct sheepskin woolskin wash but some of the dye colour will run out in the rinse water. Salt is a natural dye fixative so I use salt in the final rinse water to reduce dye run. Don't use a normal woolwash, this is not suitable for the leather. A sheepskin carding brush is great to brush out knots before and after you wash a sheepskin rug to prevent matting.
- Q: so how can i clean a really short haired carpet without chemicals? i've heard something like really hot boiled water in a spray bottle, then sprayed all over the carpet, then vacuuming the carpet works? would it? any help is appreciated, of and its brown normally, im just trying to get some of the dirt and cat hair out of it. thankyou =]
