- Just regular hot tap water. Make sure that rug is sucked several times with vac to make sure carpets can dry. Make sure rooms are well vented to prevent molding and dry rot. Do not place any furniture on carpet tell it is dry. Make sure if you use a spot gard on carpet you get it all out the best you can for the chemicals can break down the carpet threads, fibers, and backing. To much soaking of carpet will cause the padding underneath to get wet and that takes forever to get dry so use caution. Go slow like directions saw, but don't soak. GL!!!

- Take the rug outside to your driveway. Clean a spot on your driveway (soap and water, brush and rinse). Place the rug on that spot. Dilute bleach 10:1. Use scrub brush with a handle. Scrub. Rinse with hose. Hang to dry.

- If its not on the Abbey site there are only 2 reasons for this.. The carpet is no longer made and discontinued or who ever you bought the carpet from has private labeled the carpet so no one shopping for an Abbey carpet ( or any thing else in their store) won t be able to cross shop and price compare. Big box stores are know to do this and some mom and pop stores. I never did. Now a suggestion.. Pull up the carpet and the pad. The pad is probably ruined. The carpet is more often than now salvageable if you can get it to dry. Or get a professional carpet cleaner in to vac out the carpet. they may be able to pull out enough water and along w/ fans and a dehumidifier, you may be able to save it. - Hello, Adding soap to the sticky and black ground in mystery stain is just making it worse. You are adding a surfactant (Soap) that gets sticky when it dries. You need to find out if the stain is a oil ( like food dropped ) or sugars like soda pop. First thing you want to do is get rid of the soap residue. If you have a wet dry vac. Get club soda and pour it onto the stick black ground in mystery stain. Use a soft shoe brush and start brushing the stain. If it is turning foamy you have to get DEFOAMER. Spray it on the carpet till you do not get any foam on your brush. (It cuts soap bonds so you can get the soap residue off the carpet). Keep adding club soda. Extract the club soda from the carpet. The black and sticky should start to go away. You should be left with just the original stain, or it should be gone. If you have no foamy residue and it still is sticky you need a solvent because it is an oil based spot. I don't know where you live but if you look in your local yellow pages for Carpet Cleaning Supply stores you can get Defoamer and Solvents to clean the carpets. BE CAREFUL WITH THE SOLVENTS USE AS LITTLE OF THE SOLVENT AS POSSIBLE. IT CAN DELAMINATE THE CARPET IF YOU USE TOO MUCH. (seprate the carpet backing from the fiber) Solvents will desolve glue. Robert
