- What type of carpet you have? Wools/poly... Whats your machine hold 1/2 galon OR 2 ? 1/2 cup-1 cup vinegar if using soaps too tablespoon to 1/3 cup of tide/gain Lemon about 25 drops... Simple green 1/2 cup Hot water and vinegar gain is o.k. on some however use just a dab (seriouse here)for freshness unless you have lemon essentail oil handy.. Vinegar will leave the least amount of residue in the carpet and will slow down the resoiling process. So using vinegar and Hot water you can still add dabs of tide,gain,simple green. test a area is important.. I would not use a amonia recipe if you have cats or dogs

Some places might charge a lot of money for something like that, but I run an online website that sells mostly furniture, you know, coffee tables, end tables, etc. We do have a fairly good selection of rugs though and I'm looking at them now and we have a few that look just like that. - Bull Hocks. You will not find anything written because it's simply not true. Your salesperson is not telling you the truth. She is probably just trying to jack up the price so she can make more money. Or she may be ignorant. Any carpet can be loose-layed or glued directly to the sub-floor. In many cases it is necessary. For instance, it is difficult for someone that is wheelchair bound to roll over a floor made too soft by carpet padding. And some people put carpet into wet areas such as a kitchen or bathroom. That carpet is not attached to the floor so it can be pulled back easily in case of a water spill. Attaching carpet in this case over a pad underlayment would be ludicrous. Find another salesperson or better yet, go to another store.

- The easiest and surest way to change the color is to change the carpet. If the present carpet is nylon, there is no way to dye it evenly. Go to commercial carpet installer house and purchase an end run from a job of a color that works for you...you will spend far less money doing this than trying to dye a carpet that will make a mess. Choose level loop commercial carpet....will never wear out under residential use.

- I can't answer for the dyson question, but I have frieze carpet in my house and love it. the husband wanted full blown shag and I compromised (I wanted berber) any way, it is durable, tough and does not mat.really happy with it and we have it in the highest traffic areas of our house - the hallway and stairs as well as the master bathrooms. every time I vacuum, it looks just like it did the day they put it in. I have a kirby and vacuuming it is a breeze. I have not had any issues other than not being able to find earrings in the carpet if I drop them. It cleans beautifully as well.

- All the glue on the rat board is strong glue. If you have strong glue, you can consider using some alcohol or gasoline for cleaning. First, try wiping the gasoline with a rag, then try it. Take care not to smoke during the process. Do not use fire. Gasoline is dangerous. After cleaning, rinse off with water, and the smell of petrol will be fine. Try with other organic solvents, too.
