 FAQ

1.    For Polished Porcelain Tile, is the 30*60 available?

—— Yes, 30*60 is available. Due to the basic size is 60*60, we need to cut 60*60 tile into 30*60. 6 pcs are packed into one carton.

2.    What is the MOQ for this tile?

—— Normally the MOQ is 1382.4 m2 for one 20’ container. To support our clients, we could go with 3 models to fill one container at most.

3.    Can we use the carton with our own design and brand name?

—— Yes. Normally we go with Neutral Carton or our Carton with our CMAX brand name. But for carton of client’s own design, the MOQ for one size is 5 containers, due to the carton factory can’t arrange production if quantity is below 5000 pcs.

Q:What is the best way to paint over brown wall tiles
Wash your tiles first - then use BIN primer (it will adhere to your tiles). Then paint with the paint of your choice. BIN is a primer.
Q:I just finished grouting my tile yesterday I want to remove the haze with vinager should I let the grout cure for three days, then seal it and then scrub the whole floor including going over the grout lines (which would be then sealed) scrubbing with a sponge and avoiding the non cured grout is working but is taking far too long
Know what works best? Don't use any moisture at all to remove haze--You'll have to do it 2 or 3 times to totally remove the haze. Let the haze dry on the tile, then polish it off with a dry soft terry cloth--It may create a little dust in the air, but it works really well. Also, wait about a month or so before sealing your grout lines.
Q:We‘re putting in new porcelain tile floors in the kitchen and bathroom. Should the tile go under the refrigerator? Should tiles go in before or after the new vanities in the bathroom? Any other general tips for a first-time tiler?
You should put the floor in the room before you put any of the appliances in and for in the bathroom put the tile in the whole room then put the vanities in after that way if you sell the house or want to change out the vanities you won't have to change thew tile
Q:Tomorrow I will be laying porcelain tile in my kitchen and need help in figuring out how to cut a hole in the tile for the floor vent? Any input would be appreciated.
I've done this: I've used an angle grinder to cut a rectangle in one bathroom tile. Straight cuts are easy using an angle cutter and a diamond wheel designed for cutting tile. I've even cut a round hole for the commode. But the commode had a tile seam under it, so I wasn't cutting a hole in the middle of a tile, I was able to cut and nibble away until I had a semi-circle in each tile. Just make sure you have more tile than you need. If (when) you make a mistake you have more to work with. And don't try to accomplish the entire cut all at once. Take little passes at it until you work your way through. Hope this helps. 'av'a g'day mate. '')
Q:Hi, I was wondering what type of tile is easier to lay down on a bathroom floor, large, single tiles or small tiles that are connected together by mesh. I have never done anything like this before, so any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks!
The easties size is 12 x 12. Small tiles on the mesh are a real pain, each tile must be moved to get even. The tiles move around when you set in the morter. Tiles larger than 12 x 12 take extra care to keep level. Go slow.
Q:Yesterday I bought tile from menards and they are sticky on the backs of them, my question is do I need to use other glue as well? If so what kind of glue?
I don't think you should use more glue but they will need to be weighed down i.e. a roller like the type used for linoleum. or something flat and heavy
Q:what tiles would be better to install kitchen? sometimes I get some information on the internet. My friends saw some beautiful pitcures about floors online.
Almost any kind or tiles will work excellent for a residential kitchen floor. Porcelain, ceramic work fine. The proper installation is the most important thing . I would stay away from stones on the floor in a kitchen. Harder to maintain but they are beautiful in less foot traffic areas. Any type tile with a multi colored look helps hides day to day dirt and looks better between sweeping. There are a multitude of stone looking ceramics and porcelains. That the way I suggest. Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar and check my qualifications there. GL
Q:I am renovating, and have always loved white coloured tiles but am now starting to like these light coloured hardwood Tasmanian Oak Floorboards ....I have no idea on prices yet, what would cost more? and which one would look more beautiful??PS- i would NEVER put floating floorboards - they are cheap and nasty!
Hardwoods are classic. You can never go wrong with hardwood floors as far as resell value. I renovated two years ago. We have a 1500 sq/ft home. We did tile in the bath and hardwoods everywhere else. My husband wanted to tile the kitchen as well but we were talked out of it due to labor costs. Cleaning tile grout is troublesome, sealing it is ineffective if you have food stains or mud or something. My tile floors are very pretty but I regret it. Be sure to get real hardwood with NO laminate at all. Some hardwood floors are real wood on the surface but laminated onto a synthetic bottom. Be careful that way. Things to ask before choosing: How many times can they be refinished? Are they glued or nailed? (Glued are crappy, nailing is much more effective.) How do I clean them? (I use a steamer, no chemicals.) Will my subfloor support the hardwood? (we had to install a new subfloor). Oak and Hickory are the best HARD woods to choose from.
Q:Does anyone know where I could find a (preferably antique) terracotta roof tile? I am finding companies that import these tiles, but they sell 100 at a time, while I need 1-3.
i install clay tile roofs, usually in the US. americans don't really use permanent roofs so that's why most of the tile is imported. the best company in the US is 400yr old LUDAWICI. they usually have some salvaged pieces as well. also you can try DURABLE SLATE company. they sell salvaged slate along with some tiles. i know a company in south florida called CARPENTERS ROOFING AND SHEET METAL. they have a huge yard full of random clay tiles from 100yrs of installing them. i buy tiles from a company called MASTERPIECE TILES but most of what they sell is imported, however they may be able to get you a few pieces. worst case if you find your exact tile but it must be imported and you only need a couple, tell them you are replacing your entire roof and you need them to send you a few samples to compare them to others. all the best
Q:hey guys my house just got renovated a few days ago... it seems like some tiles have tough stains on it. is there a type of detergent or anything that removes it off? it looks well ugly and makes the surface rough... it's on both my floor and wall tiles
The use of muratec acid will remove the glaze on the tile. Not sure if diluted will or not but I d never use it . The use of a metal chisel can leave marks on the tile that you ll never get off. First ,if this is thin set still on the tile get the tile person back to clean it off. Barring that , if you have to do it, scrape what you can off with something softer. I use a piece of wood. After the lumps come off use a white nylon pad and go over the tile dry with it.Special pads used for tile clean up can be bought most any place that sells tile. Their called a doodle bug pad. While your there you might want to get a small bottle of grout and effervescent remover.About $8 for an 8 oz bottle. If going over the tile dry doesn t remove it, then go with the cleaner.Doing it wet right away will only reintroduce any removed thin set or grout to the tile. After all cleaned up consider sealing the tile ,but not before it s cleaned.Tile Lab and Cerama Seal sealers work well. You ll ned to wait for a minimum of 72 hours with all pentatrating sealers Any questions you can e mail me thru my avatar GL
