- There okorder /... I don't know if this will make the cushions a lot higher, though. Would it be possible to add legs to the sofa? They could be screwed into the wood frame, maybe. Or, just painted blocks of wood, placed under the four corners? They'd have to be pretty wide so your sofa doesn't bounce off.

- Hmm i doubt you are allergic to the leather from the sofa. In my opinion it would most likely be from the newly fitted carpet. There are different types out there, and some are well known to affect asthma sufferers (even if you dont have asthma the small fibres can affect your breathing). If i were you i would go see your doc and book a full allergy screening before you make any hasty decisions.

- With two cats in the family I've dealt with the removal of accidents like yours several times. First of all, if the upholstery has a zipper and the cover can be removed, you're in good shape. If there's no zipper, I would check for a seam on the back side and carefully cut the threads until you can remove it enough to get to the underlying stain. You can attack to pee much more agressively in the padding without worring about causing permanent damage to your sofa. I would flush the area with a mixture of 2 cups of warm water and 1 tablespoon of white vinegar. Once this has thoroughly dried spray it with an enzyme cleaner that you can buy at PetSmart like Pet 'Oops' Remover or Stain Gobbler. This will neutralize the urine.
- Q: My power keeps flickering out every once in a while so I lit a candle just in case, and I accidentally spilt wax onto the cushion. I can't get it out. I tried scraping it off, vaccuming it, and I tried the ice thing I read that got it out of other people's carpets and junk.The sofa is made of this soft velvety junk and the wax is like soaked into it or something. I can't even just turn the cushion over. Other people of Answers said use an iron, but there's no iron in our house. Does anyone have any other ideas?Please help! - Ok I think I can help you- I've gotten this out of a bunch of fabrics. No iron? do you have a hair dryer? Use brown paper grocery bags, and place them on the wax. Turn your hair dryer on LOW to start, just in case the heat could damage the sofa fabric. Let the heat of the dryer melt the wax, and keep soaking it up in the paper bag- I ususally tear up the bag into managable pieces. This may take a while, but I have gotten wax out of a neighbors rabbit fur pelt he had on his dresser. this does work. I would try to borrow a neighbors iron if you could, however, that would go faster. Keep checking the fabric underneath the paper- to make sure its not burning the sofa fabric. good luck- hope this helps!
- Q: Ok we just move into our new home and i am not the best with home interior decorating :( my home is open floor plan kind one huge room and what separates the living room and kitchen is the u like bar. I have a sectional and the back of the sectional is facing my foyer and the entrance i don't like that is what you see besides my fireplace over and in front of my sectional.
