- Q: decorating living room with brown leather sofa?
- That will look very nice, but add other color to your living room also. Add a blue chair, or a light tan chair to accent the leather sofa. Add some colorful throw pillows on the sofa, and other decor and accents. Just don't make the room dark with to much dark furniture, or it gets depressing. Allow plenty of light into the room to give a warm feeling.
- Q: Can you use a futon mattress on a sofa bed?
- You will have to measure both to see if it would fit since futons are the same size but sofas are not. Also you would have to see if the place the mattress folds is at the same place the sofa will be matching that fold.

- Well this is all about training your dog. You should get a collar that has teeth in it. What this collar does it gives the dog a bite like his or her mother. get a leash and show the dog where you want it to lay a pillow or dog bed. This is where he or she can be all the time when you want it to be there. Show the dog were this is. Only tell the dog once to lay there every time the dog gets up without your permission put the dog back and tug on the leash so the collar bites the dog. Don't tell the dog they know what you want they are just testing you as dogs like to be the leader and you must show the dog you are the boss not them. The collar doesn't hurt them just shows them you are the leader of the pack. You need to make sure every one in the house does the same. Doing this repeated the excat same way everyday the dog will soon do it on comand.

- If you like your sofa, why not get an area run to compliment it (it sounds like the sofa has a busy pattern, so select a solid rug; maybe pick a favorite or neutral color that's in the sofa upholstery somewhere, and get an area run in that single color). A tile floor - even one that mimics wood (tho the newest wood look tiles are very cool) sounds cold for a living room, so a large area rug in a complimentary color kills two birds. If you like the floor and are ready for a new look for your sofa, get a slip cover for the sofa. You coud pick out fabric in a fabraic store and have one custom sewn (not necessarily cheap) or check out ready-made slip covers at a site like Sure-fit.

- You cannot shop for price if you want a good cushion. The reason is that the price of foam that the cushions are made of is very high.Foam cost is related to the price of crude oil, energy, and including gasoline! No throw pillow from a major department store is any good. Maybe Macy's or Nordstrom. Feel the sofa pillows from Wal Mart or similar store. Way too soft. Also cheap sofas ; Sitting on the cheapest you can sink almost all the way to the floor! Knees clear up to your nose! We recently had the six cushions on our sofa replaced and the price was 1,300! And we shopped carefully beforehand. Dense foam simply costs a lot of money.

- You can use it, but it's going to feel a bit weird because the fold out bed part is what adds support/stability to the piece when it's being used as a sofa. All I can say is try it to see if it will be comfortable for you. If you find the manufacturer's tag on it, you can always contact the maker to find out if replacement mattress bed mechanism is available for the model that you have. If so, and you decide to order, just know that you'll have to have it installed by someone who works with upholstered furniture.
- Q: I need something in my spare bedroom for my mother-in-law to sleep on when she comes to visit (about 2x per year, 2 weeks at a time). I currently have a full-size bed but I want to convert that room into an exercise room (treadmill and small area for yoga, pilates, etc.). The bed takes up far too much room to do all of these things. How long is safe to keep him there, bearing in mind that I wish to send a clear message?
- My Dear Sir, You become more ingenious every day! Trapping such a fiend in a sofa is certainly one way to muffle his cries - wouldn't want to disturb the neighbors with all his nonsense! However, you have left out one minor detail. Should you get up from your seat, the Earl would be able to escape, providing he is still breathing. How long do you wish to continue to sit in that same spot? As I see it, you have few options here. You could get up, thus freeing him, and hope he will depart having learned his lesson (which I doubt as Earls tend to be notoriously stubborn) or you could assign a few of your deaf servants to spend the night sitting on the sofa. Maybe by morning his spirit will be broken enough that you can just pack him up and have him delivered to his home. By then, he should be so deprived of oxygen that he will have little memory of the whole event and will only know that he never wants to set foot in your mansion again.
