I have scoured the internet and all the sofa beds I have seen are really, really ugly.I have a beautiful couch already, and it would be great if I could just get it converted to a sofa bed.so my question is, does anyone know of any furniture repair people who will do this? how much do you think it will cost?any recommendations will be helpful.(please don't post links to already made sofa beds)
- I had the same problem a long time ago and what i did was place the sofa and loveseat face to face and made a bed, covered it with a nice comforter and threw in lots of big pillows, my nieces loved to sleep there and they wouldn't fall out of bed in the middle of the night....they were crazy sleepers, they used to roll off the bed every other night.

- Q: I dog-sat a friend's dog for three days and while the old girl was asleep on my sofa, her bladder released her urine onto one of my sofa cushions. My hound dog used to sleep on that sofa all the time, now she won't go anywhere near the sofa and I've tried all of the dog cleaners and all of the deodorizers! Does anyone have a homemade remedy? My hound dog will THANK YOU!!!
- The problem is not so much the urine in the seat cover, but most likely it soaked through into the foam underneath. If the cushions are removable from the sofa there should be a zipper on the back of the seat cover. This will allow you to remove the foam insert inside. Take that out, measure it and call some local upholstery shops and get a quote on one of them cutting you a new foam core that you can insert back into the casing once you've thoroughly cleaned said casing. That is the only way you will truly eliminate the problem. If the casing is NOT removable and you have an attached seat then it gets more complicated and you will have to call out an upholsterer to come out and see how difficult it would be to replace the foam insert. - Q: I have a small living room and have been trying to find suitable furniture that is not too overstuffed/big. The other issue is that the door is 30-31 inches wide and most furniture heights and depths are bigger than this. I have looked at Ikea's products and I'm considering the Karlstad loveseat or the new Sater sofa, which is a 2.5 seat leather sofa. Is Ikea furniture comfortable and durable. How good is the leather? How well does the furniture age? I don't want it looking shabby after a short while. - Go with Karlstad. The Sater looks cheap, and the higher cost of the Karlstad probably means better quality (and the Karlstad comes in much nicer colors).

- Q: I have this great old 1920s Empire Sofa (curled arms, navy velour, brass claw feet, uber comfortable)But the problem is that it is sagging. I felt underneath the couch and I feel wire or springs or something like that. I have a friend who can reupholster, but I wonder about the springs or whatever on the bottom. How do I fix that so it wont sag?
- For a temp fix, get a long strip of durable wood or MDF and put it under the cushions. Just make sure you measure before you go to the hardware store so they can cut it to size for you.
