- Depending the date of the old days, remember at one time, sofas were made of horse hair and had hay in the middle. People did not use the parlor living room because that was for Sunday or when special people visited. These were likely never cleaned, maybe dusted. - Caution: If your cotton fabric is Haitian cotton, do not use water or any water-based cleaner. It would cause a permanent stain. (I speak from sad experience. Too late I read the care tag!)

- no such thing as a SOFA ID. your ID is your Brown DoD Card. the SOFA stamp you will receive in your No fee passport when you arrive in Germany. as soon as you got command sponsorship, arrangements should have been made to fly you to Germany, either Commerically or through AMC. if you are NOT a US citizen, but are a Legal resident, you will need to let Immigration know BEFORE you leave the States in order to be allowed back into the country. If you are not in the US, then you will need to apply for legal residency before leaving Germany when your spouse gets stationed back CONUS.
- Q: how do i get the smell of smoke out of leather sofas?
- It will help to give it a good clean with a specialist leather cleaner and rejuvinator which contains lanolin and will disguise the smell a little. If it still bothers you you might be better off with a new one. There are good bargains around. - Q: I am looking for a living room set that includes a sofa bed instead of just the regular kind of sofa. I dont need end tables or lamps or anything else. Just a sofa, chair, and ottoman. - Try these places for your sofa bed: JCPenny, Target, Sofa Express. You might try JC Penny first . They usually got really good quality sofas. You can also go on the web. There are some really good companies out there . The only drawback is that some of the sofas you have to put together yourself.

- I've seen furniture of that type (I think they're called fainting couches) in mainstream furniture stores, where the customer can select upholstery fabric, like they can on any sofa or chair, and end up with a custom piece. Start with the most traditional furniture stores where you live. They may not have many, or even any, but a large one should. Skip discount places and department stores' furniture departments. We shopped for this sort of thing for our living room at one point, but in the end decided to go with more modern pieces, which we're still using. I remember we had our pick of four or five at that time, though, and this was in Texas, where you don't think you'll find a lot of Victorian-inspired furniture.
