So $600 would be excessive for a plastic garden chair but might be a bargain for a high-tech designer leather office chair or for a collectible antique Chesterfield dining chair. It also depends which $$ you're using. If they're Australian or Hong Kong $$ then $600 isn't worth anywhere near as much as US $$. It's not something I'd be willing to pay, either assuming you're using US $$, but luckily for people like you and I there are plenty of cheaper chairs as well, both new, used and designer models if you like paying for brand names.
