- Gliders tend to be fairley narrow, I would recommended a lazy-boy, one that reclines. If you are into reading, you are also into comfort. A lazy-boy can be carried up by only two people.

- Q: My mother has an old rocking chair that i think had a woven seat cushion on it yrs ago, but it has since been ripped off during yrs of storage and use. I want to try to fix the chair so she can sit in it again, but im not sure sure how to weave, it sounds complicated, so im looking for some easy fixes to put a seat on the chair. Any ideas would be helpful.
- I think it is sweet-most likely also a sentimental piece. One way is to cross stitch it, needle and thread. criss crossing(timely) Or get a piece of material (she'd like) and sew that on the top section. Or: make a Velcro, or zipper cover, if the cushion comes off the rocker. So I've been doing this for years, I saved my sectional for 17 years, and no one seen the imperfections in the couch at a view, just close friends would notice, then I resorted to tucking throws (blankets) hope this was of any help to you.
- Q: Hi. I want to attempt to make a murphy chair/sofa , yet do not wish to pay a whole lot of money which I do not have. Any suggestions? I would love to cover the bottoms (the part which is on the outside when folded) with padding, so one could still sit on the floor without difficulty.
- You could make the actual chair seat with scraps of wood and buy a hinge so it will fold up. You could also use an old chair seat.You might have something available at your home. Make sure the piece that is attached to the wall is properly secured to a stud in the wall. Go to Joann Fabric or any similar store and you can get some 2 foam (padding) to put over the seat. I would cover the foam with some fabric and slide it on the seat (like a pillowcase). Buy some fabric adhesive spray and adhere the back to the seat or.....you could use Velcro to keep it snug. You could hand stitch the fabric, if necessary. Be Creative.....You can do it!!!
- Q: I have Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, and one of my fears is sitting in rocking chairs. I'm always afraid that when it goes back it won't stop and I'll fall on my head. I don't think there is a phobia specifically related to rocking chairs, so there has to be some other way to trigger this fear. Basically, I was wondering what this fear is actually of and what it's technical name is. (_____phobia)
- I dont know what the fear is called, however whenever you think of a rocking chair imagine that there is a wall 1 foot away from the chair and so you cannot fall onto your head.
- Q: Here is a picture of it...I want to make it white somehow I just loved the shape and how comfy it is and can't afford a $250 chair so I decided to get a $25 chair from craigslist and cover it to make it white instead. I have covered chairs and stools and a bench before but nothing with a complex shape like this. It's the arm rests that throw me off. How would I do this? Thanks!

Except for the chairThis is partially to impress my friends so i want the chair to be super expensive and look super nice, but it also has to be super high quality and worth the money.
