- Q: I have alot of wheels from the 1980's cuz i only ride the stuff from then. Well i have some of my wheels that the bearings will spread apart in once i have the wheel onto the truck. I would have the wheel to where it would wiggle on the truck so that way the wheel would spin nicely. But i have noticed that once i do some kickturns and what not, the wheel would start slowing way down and the cause of this would be with the bearings spreading even if i have spacers in each wheel. Some of my powell peralta wheels dont do it but a few of my other brand name ones do. Is there anyone that could give me some hints or ideas on how to fix this problem.
- you need to put the bearings in or grease, stick the bearings in the wheels then make sure the skateboard can move well but if it doesn't work just buy some new ones that are already made.
- Q: ok I took apart my bearings, cleaned the shields with water, put about 2 drops of lube in each after letting the bearings sit in a 50% alcohol solution for 10 minutes, put it all back together after drying off the stuff and lubing it. Just rode it today and it seems that the bearngs are making noise.... is this normal???
- the proper way to clean bearing is to soak them in karosene and then pack them w lube/ grease the alchol proally dried em out
- Q: I have a 2003 cavalier and the front wheels are making a clunking noise at low speeds and a loud grinding noise at high speeds. I had the tires rotate to see if it was something with the tires them selves, but the noise is still in the front. Are the bearings actually part of the wheels, and if it was the bearings I should hear the noise in the back now? Or are they part of the axle?
- the clunking noise would be the cv joints wore out (axle shaft ) the grinding noise could be the front wheel bearings they are called front hub bearings and usually when they go bad you will hear a roar coming from either side depending on which one is bad.

- is almost the same, the only diff is how the wheel is opened up,,, i believe they seal the bearings so you will haft to press them out i think,, if not then then its the same,,, ive only came across 2 types of 4wheelers that had to do that,, they were polarius models that floated on the water,,, now lookin at yours its the same as a car,,, after removing the wheel you take off the spindle ( for a car its called a rotor) then pick out the bearing clean out the grease add new grease, and pack the bearings with grease befor you put it in,, the more grease the better lol

- dude you know what you need, rush all weather bearings. i got them, and 2 days ago, my board fell in the POOL!!!!!! the whole board sunk! my board is ok amazingly, it was in their for almost like, 2 minutes(its longer then you think), and my bearings are still workin brand new.no rust or anythings. their water and rust proof, their awsome too!!!! but get the rush hybrids if you dont get the ones i just told you about lol. sorry for the whole story ****.
- Q: Front wheel bearings
- You normally just check the bearings when you do the brakes. Then you clean and repack them. If you get front wheel looseness or noise, then you jack it up and check for bearing play, or hear grinding.
- Q: so ive heard its okay to soak skateboard bearings in lemon juice is this true? and also, what are a good pair of bearings within the range of 20-30 bucks? thanks for ur help best awnser gets 10 points
