The outer ring of drawn cup needle roller bearing is punched with the high-quality steel sheet. The outer ring has thin wall.The drawn cup needle roller bearing has the characterstics of small radial section area, large load carring capacity ,less inertia and economic manufacture. Or do what I do on unknown mileage bearings toss them out and buy a good made in USA set. The made in china cheapo bearings are soft core with a hardened shell. And at some point they start to disintegrate and take out all the other bearings too. A good set of bearings are not that expensive and always buy a new grease seal

- rear bearings in the engine or the differential. the two are very different but either one would be a project. the engine, you would have to pull the engine out or pull the oil pan off and deal with it that way. pull all of the main bearing caps and replace them. the rear end is a bit more complex as you have to pull the axles out, pull the carrier and start from there.
