Q:I'm a naturist, I stay naked in my home, defecate in my garden and eat local animals... Why the complaints?
You should wear a metal chastity device to show your neighbors you have no intention on using your penis.
Q:What are some good HOME IMPROVEMENT and/or INTERIOR DESIGN magazines in the Bay area and/or North America? I prefer high class to middle class magazines~~I am doing this project for my marketing class... I live in So Cal and I'm not so sure about anything quot;home improvement.quot; Hope you all can help me out~ Thank you!!! :)
Better Homes and Gardens
Q:Does the television show Home Garden Television (HGTV) influence you to improve your home and garden?
Influence me - no. Give me ideas on how to - yes.
Q:any advice?what do i need?i've never done this before.....
Short of shooting him...I hope you were kidding. Still in bad taste though! Supervise him outside and tell him no when he does it- he'll get it eventually. In the mean time, put up a tall enough fencing (even just chicken wire and posts will do for now) that he can't get in the garden if he's left outside when you're away. My neighbours had a similar problem with their young lab, and they left that fence up until Aspen was about 2-2.5 years old and he'd stopped digging. He's a puppy, and he'll start to settle down in the next 10 months or so, both of my lab girls were nightmares when they were younger but they mellowed out nicely around 2 years old. I didn't think about this before, I just assumed it was done, but it would probably help to neuter him if he's not already.
Q:In the Better Homes and Gardens magazine there was a recipe for butterscotch almond bars. It required a cake mix. i was wondering if we just add the cake mix, or follow the directions on the cake mix box as well.
I have not seen the Better Homes article, but from experience with recipes that use cake mix is that you just add the cake mix and disregard the box instructions. The reason some recipes will let you use cake mix is just because all the dry ingredients are already measured and mixed to save you time. Just add wet ingredients, pop in oven and voila! I believe this is true for your situation because your trying to make butterscotch almond bars, not cake with butterscotch and almond on it, so you don't need to follow any cake directions, you just need the goodies already mixed.
Q:I just need some suggestions of what to spray on my plants to keep the cute little creatures from eating our summer garden. Don't want to hurt them but just keep them from nibbling my veggies.
put a small little fence up.........something cheap.....and you can still step over it......two feet high chicken wire and stakes
Q:I need some home decor advice. I will be purchasing a light grey sofa with a glossy black wood coffee table and I will be purchasing a rug to place underneath. Since I want to keep my rug neutral, what advice would you recommend as in the patterns, what color will it look best with my sofa and table? Thanks!
Jute Rugs, jute furniture and jute furnishings are also the best option for home decor while giving natural look to your home.
Q:With the movement to plant gardens in the backyard, I am concerned about what else might be in the dirt besides what is beneficial for plants to grow. I am concerned about toxins from wolmanized wood from outdoor structures and residential pesticide that neighbors tend to overuse. I am worried that a lot of this nasty stuff washes from yard to yard in heavy rains.I suspect that the first thing I need to do is to have the soil checked to actually see what's in there, not only for toxins, but recommendations for any deficiencies in minerals and nutrients. What's the best way to start, and any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
avoid carrots; they accumulate a lot of pesticides...same with melons, though you probably wont have room for them...most common garden crops, like tomatoes, beans and peppers, do an adequate job of filtering the intake of damaging chemicals..
Q:I am new at gardening, this is only my second year. Last year a flood destroyed the whole yard in mid july, in the begining of this season I was fighting with the groundhogs and bunnies and now the bugs! They are eating all of my chinese cabbage and lettuce. What can I do? I don't want to use chemicals on my food but does anything else actually work? I have a good garden book that has some homemade recipes but these didn't seem to have much effect. Any sugestions would be very appreciated! Thanks
Crystal, welcome to gardening. You didn't say what kind of bugs are eating your plants, so try this. Mix up a soapy (not detergent, bar soap chips) with a teaspoon of black molasses in a sprayer filled with water. Shake it up and spray it on the bugs. It will kill them- really. They have no resistance. You should also was your plants regularly with a powerful spray from the lawn hose. It knocks them off the plants and keeps the plants clean.
Q:My family is, we're planting tomatoes, potatoes, sunflowers, and watermelons.I'm growing Cosmo flowers. :)Y!A Category Fail -Home Garden gt; Maintenance Repairs Pets gt; Birds
