Q: Is this even possible and what kind of plants would I use?
Go for it! We have a small area in our yard and I always had my head set to do something beautiful with it. I bought some Rubber Mulch from this company called Rubberecycle and went to WalMart for some other knickknacks and my garden looks gorgeous! Was so easy and best of all, I don't have to keep it up!
Q: I was wondering if it was okay to grow something small to begin with, on a bed? not on the floor, because i have dogs, and i know they will get in my garden and becausue if i plant them on a bed it will be easier for me to take care of the plants. and easier for me to get rid of the insects. is it expensive to do this? or am i better of buying my own fruits and vegetables? I live in Los Angeles, CA in the city. and was wondering what would be the best time to plant. and finally are there any good books you recommend, and any tips? thank you for your time.
the best thing to grow is some dank weed its good for u
Q: I'm getting a garden ready for spring here in January. The soil is kind of compact and clay like. I have a bunch of leaves sitting on top of it now.I plan to till all the leaves into the soil, and till the soil to break it all up.Thinking about adding some dried manure that I can pick up from the lowes. Also, saw some stuff called clay breaker which is gypsum. Will it be a good idea to add perlite too?
i like to make a salad with iceberg lettuce, mandarin oranges, and silvered almonds. upload a vinagrettte dressing on the section so the lettuce does not get soggy. in case you have the persistence, upload some pomegranate. if no longer, upload some apple slices.
Q: Is there a peak time for common garden weeds? I know they're around all year but when will the seedlings stop springing up everywhere?
There okorder /(20 % costs over $10/gal but less than Scott’s Weed B Gon at $15/gal. Only the hardiest weeds need 20%, 10% does for most weeds. 2-Xpress, Matran or Alldown, but these are to be used on weeds less than 5 inches tall. 3- Pelargonic acid, found in many plants, is currently available in a commercial herbicide, Scythe, but is not yet approved as an organic herbicide.

Q: Someone I know has a vegetable and fruit garden in his backyard. He used pesticides on his fruits and vegetables, however, he had been eating them for two months without washing them. Do you think he consumed a significant amount of pesticides to cause serious long-term health effects? This is a serious question, and the person concerned is very worried.Thank you for any insight you can offer.
Well, that depends on the ingredients of the pesticide used. Generally speaking, he should stop that from now onwards. If he feels that his conscious level is lowering or excessive salivation , then he should go to the emergency room immediately

You could either dig some up or photograph it take it to your county ag dept or to a nursery where you shop or are willing to shop. In fact, call them find out if you could send the photo by Internet. Likewise, if there's a garden program on the radio, maybe you could call them or email them via the stations website send in the photo. Also, there may be a Master Gardener's program in your county. Since they're supposed to volunteer for a certain number of service hours after their master gardening course, one of them may be available for questions.
