Q: With home market gardens designed on permaculture principles? Which nations are the pioneers?
Cuba and Chile and Costa Rica all are serious about living well without blowing away the environment. Permaculture principles are a part of that and I know that is what your question is asking but sustainable living is a wide area and also should be about How we want to live and how well we want to live. Personally I admire some things about Cuba. Hey Cuban doctors are all over the world, Cuba is the world's leading developer of pediatric vaccines, and both their biotechnology and medicine verde research are excellent. I plan to take at least part of my medical schooling at Habana. Cuba is also developing an ethanol industry and a hemp industry and they will help with their own needs and bring hard currency from exports. But I am not forgetting that I can come and go as I please and most Cubans can't. Cuba is not a model for sustainable living if people will be in authoritarian society and living sustainably is like feudal living. Let's not go back to medieval times eh?
Q: Is it possible to have a home garden in Vegas, or is it just to hot?
You can have a garden in most environments, it just depends on the plants, you may find you might have to have things like ornamental grasses and cacti, things like these thrive on the hot weather, but also you might want to do some research on plants and find ones which don't require much watering, this not only makes it easier for you but also it lowers your water bill, meaning an easy, affordable and maintainable garden!
Q: I lost my favorite recipe from a cookbook my grandmother gave me. I know the cookbook was Better Homes and Gardens, most likely published in the 1960's as a souvenir edition. The specific recipe was for lasagna on page 166. Does anyone else have the same recipe?
I lost this recipie to. I kept it ting it in the same place because the cookbook is the first edition that I misplaced it when I moved. :( Because I ve made this so much with my mother I know there s a couple of errors in the recipe above1st after the browning of meat you add the next 7 indregients to simmer this adds the tomato paste. Then the mixing of the whole cottage cheese mixture is missing so if you are making this for the first time here it is: In a separate bowl mix : Cottage cheese Eggs Next dose of salt Pepper Parsley Grated Parmesan cheese That s your cottage cheese mixture. :) I didn t type as much as the original post and it s a lot of typing on your iPad sans keyboard! Thank you original post!!!!! Otherwise I d be lost on the measurements.
Q: Hi I'm trying to create a mini home garden of veggies like spinach, lettuce varieties, cherry tomatoes, basil chives ..etc. And some flowersMy little seedlings are growing well the have just germinated and are sproutingBut in some pots I didn't use pots with holes in the bottom simply because I didn't find any good ones is this going to affect my plants?! What can I do to get around it? I am worried about the nitrogen stacking up in the soilAnother thing is do u have any ideas for sprouts o leaves that are edible, a nice quick harvest and that can grow in small pots like beansprouts for example.. I can't seem to recall any names of these VeggiesI would appreciate any kind of hone gardening tips and Ideas so please feel free to elaborate or summarize, be creative or realistic I could use all and everything
Hi okorder /
Q: Looking for a company that sells country/rustic home decor it's not Home and garden, southern living at home or home interiors. please help!
Does it have to be home decor? My girlfriend has Tupperware-like parties but instead of selling plastic ware, she sells personal goods like sexy clothes, sex toys, candles, body oils, edible panties--that sort of stuff. She asks someone to host the party and it can be all females or couples and they play silly games to win door prizes and she makes really great money while having a good time. Everybody walks away with something!
Q: Where can I find this comforter set?

Q: What are the skills of balcony garden decoration design?
Waterproof and drainage, many units are not on the first floor, drainage is a problem, and unlike in the ground, the water poured directly into the ground to go
Q: My friend is named Bryce and he likes rice. He thinks it is absolutely impossible to grow rice in their garden. So is it possible? P.S. He thinks he's wild like wild rice, but I think he resembles calm rice more. Just saying.
Rice grows in shallow water just like in China. You would have a Mosquito problem too.
Q: I recently bought the quot;second printingquot; of Better Homes and Gardens' quot;Easy Garden Guide: No-Fail Flowers.quot; It has a number of garden plants, mainly flowers, of course, but nowhere in the guide can I find the flower pictured on the cover. It's a lovely purple flower with an odd look about it. The stamen are extremely pronounced, green, and they seem to be curling back on themselves. The petals, aside from being, well, purple, look a lot like leaves. The leaves themselves are actually more like a bunch of stems than actual leaves. The whole plant seems to be very pointy, all over the place, aside from the stamen. It's a gorgeous, weird little flower, and I'd like to know if I can grow it here in Louisiana. The first few pages on the inside don't have anything mentioning the cover flower from what I can see. Has anyone seen this little magazine? What type of flower is this?
it sounds like a clematis to me. google clematis and see if there is a site for pictures, see if you can find it in there. they are very pretty , a running vine
Q: home improvement
Your answer is mortar joints, but how did this find it's way to the Botany section? It should have been posted in Home Garden.
