Q:I used a carpet shampooer along with a solution of natures miracle and a small scoop of oxy clean to clean my carpets. My cat had peed a spot in one of my rooms, so i just went ahead and shampooed all the carpet areas. I know that the Nature's miracle says that the carpet has to be 100% dry for the odors to go away. Well it has been over a week and I have noticed that everywhere I shampooed now smells horribly like cat urine! It is overwhelming! The carpet shampooer is kind of old, it was given to me, and I am wondering if it had some odors in it. I took the shampooer outside and took it apart and sprayed it with vinegar but I am scared to use it again because i think that it distributed the urine odor all over my house :( I don't know what to do, the cat urine odor is just everywhere now! What do i do to get rid of it....do i just need to get a new shampooer?: Hmm, You could consider using Simple Solution's Extreme Carpet Shampoo with a different carpet shampooer. The stuff is extremely potent and will wipe out any existing cat stains as it's specifically formulated for that purpose. Q:Alright.. so i need to kill fleas that MAY be in my carpet. I havn't seen any hop on me but my kitten has got fleas. I have a 12 month old son also.. that crawls on the carpet and puts anything in sight in his mouth, including his hands that obviously touch the carpet. I am sure SOMEONE has had this conundrum at some point... I am hoping some one can help me with this. What i have done so far, i've washed my precious with baby shampoo and combed the rest out... and so far i haven't seen her itch or any live fleas (she's white so they are evident) but i am sure they have gotten in my carpet in my living room. anything NATURAL or CHEMICAL that is toxic for my cat or baby is out of the question.. thanks for reading. i hope you can help!! :): then make sure you vacuum and dust, then put things back.
