Q: So i found a old monitor but cant find the power cable what cable do i need?: Look at the monitor - there should be a label or imprint or something telling you which input the monitor requires. Without that it's impossible to determine the correct adapter. Copy all the information (Volt, Watt, Ampere) there should also be a symbol telling you if the center is plus or minus. Or make good picture of the label. With all that information go to a good electronics or computer store and ask for a power supply unit that covers those requirements. You should also know which plug to use or get a power supply that has adapters for the plug. Easiest would be to take the monitor with you to the shop to avoid troubles. You can also try to google the monitor and see if you can find a spec sheet.

Q: Hi everyone, I recently purchased a PS3 used not slim and am having a tough time with it. For one, I don't even know how to charge my four red dot blinking controller and turn on the ps3. I'm wondering since I got everything hooked up but still not even a red dot on the ps3 when I put in the power cable at the end there is that thing with the three things sticking out, where do I put that? Like a place where I charge my phone? I think that's why I'm having problems. Thanks.: ok. the PS3 uses a standard 3 prong plug, similar to what your PC would use. plug that in, and then into the wall. older PS3's also have a power switch right above the power cord. you have to turn the system on here. after you filp the switch, the PS3 enters standby mode. on to your controller you should have gotten a very short usb cable. the larger end plugs into the system.the smaller into the controller. push the PS button on the center of your controller to sync it. it should go from 4 flashing lights to one. then, it should steady flash position 1 to show that it is charging. one it is charged, or when the usb cable is removed, you should get a steady light. no flashes.

Q: Interested to learn more about selection of Power Cable for Diesel Generating Sets. I have checked out a few websites, but they are all too complicated and ask too many questions. Would like to know if there is a thumb rule for this?: Power cable size will depend on the output current rating of the genset. The conductor size shall be rated for carrying the maximum genset current contnuously and shall be rated for the voltage of the genset.

Q: Need advice from tech guys. Can I use laptop charger (20v 3.5A) as adapter with IDE/SATA to USB cable to power 3.5HDD in place of (12v 0.8 A) cheap adapter which just got faulty.: Essentially you could, but why would you when ypu can buy one for cheap? The whole idea f a laptop is so its portable (just my two cents)

Q: I have a 240 watt jbl subwoofer in my truck and a 200 watt kenwood amp i bought a kit of 550 watts.But i just bought a 900 watt visonik subwoofer and a 700 watt visonik amp. i need to know if i can use the 550 watt power,ground,rca cables for my new system?: The load ratings on amp install kits aren't usually very accurate. If it is an 8 or 4 gauge cable, I would replace it. Go with a 2 or 1/0 gauge kit. This might seem like a bit of an overkill. But, like I tell everyone. If you lay the groundwork right the first time, You won;t have to tear it up late when you want to upgrade.

Q: power wont tuurn on from my amp there is power in the cables and i checked all fuses and wires there good to go nugga: I know you said that you checked your fuses, but there are fuses on the amp itself. You may want to check those too. Don't know if you did that already, but something to keep in mind. Does it go to the red light? safety mode? In that case, it may be fried and you may need to find a local stereo shop that can fix it.

Q: remove just this cable or use different hd and it works fine, is the hd broken or is it a power consumption by the hd issue? tryed a different psu and its the same problem, unfortunately not got another pc handy to check the hd on. Thanks In advance?: the hard drive has a short or you might have the thing plugged in backwards (either cable)
