Q: which guage power wire will handle 100 amps
A okorder /
Q: what do i do? the wire just snapped.
If the wire is broken but still attached to your brackets and it isn't moving you could put a piece of wax or gum over where the sharp part is to prevent you from catching your cheeks or lips on it. If it's too loose and about to fall out then try gently sliding the wire out from under the bands around the brackets (only if you really have to). Make an appointment to your orthodontist as soon as they can get you in because that isn't fun to have to put up with. Please don't chew on anything hard like candy or it might make the weakened bracket pop off which might make for a longer appointment. Stick with soft foods 'till you can get it fixed. I had them for 4 years! Now I work in a dental office. Just take it easy, don't worry too much. :)
Q: There are two switches – the left is for the fan, the right is for the light. They operate independently. I want to replace the light switch with one that has a motion sensor. There are four sets of bundled wires coming out of the back of the box. Each bundle has a white, a black, and a copper wire. Two black wires come out of each switch. The top wires go into two of the bundles in the back of the box, the bottom wires are connected with each other and with two more black wires coming out of the other two bundles coming out of the back of the box.All the white wires are twisted together with a red cap. All of the copper wires are twisted together with another red cap.My motion sensor has a red, black, green and yellow wire. The directions say the yellow wire is not used, because this is not a 3-way light. Is there a straightforward way to do this?
Sure is!. You wire it exactly the way the instructions say to. Which is to use the 2 wires on the existing switch. The bare wire on the switch (if present) is the ground and goes to the green. Just like the instructions say. You are apparently letting all those other wires scare you. The motion sensor is nothing more than an automatic switch. It does the same thing the existing switch does, using the exact same wires. Do Not touch any of the existing splices. Look again at the instructions. Take a deep breath and have at. I've been in control cabinets with Hundreds of wires in them. I ignored all but the ones I need to work on. Other wise I would still be there trying to figure it out! (chuckle)
Q: I have a 99 Dodge Ram.. The radio ignition wire is burnt out.. Can anyone tell me where I can connect a new ignition wire to??
There are two hot radio wires in that ram. One is the hot all the time memory back up wire and the other is the ignition accessory switched wire. If that wire is burnt out ?? you had to have one heck of a short in the radio and a way too big of a fuse in the circuit. That circuit is fused at 3Amps and the back-up uses a 1Amp fuse. If it is the acc. switched wire to the radio that is fried, I would suspect that the audio outputs are shorted. There just is not much else in there to draw that kind of current. A new wire from the radio to the fuse block sure won't fix the problem with out clearing the short first. Any way, it just runs from the radio to the radio fuse.
Q: I am replacing old 3 button (vertically aligned) light switch. There is 1 thick wire wrapped in white, 1 thick wire wrapped in black and 4 thin wires wrapped in black. I attached the white wire to the common wire screw and put the remaining wires around the screws. I am also replacing a toggle switch that will control the vanity lights above the sink. There are 4 clumps of wire coming through the box. The copper grounds are all twisted together, and there are multiple strands of white covered wire twisted together and then the 5 black cover wires and 1 white covered wires. After hooking it all up, it doesn't do anything. No lights, fan or heat lamp. What did I do wrong?
Light Switch Common Wire
Q: What are the types of Barbed wires?
depends upon which type of animal you wish to keep in the pen comes in many types and twists - each one different for the job that needs done some of the twists/patterns are for individual farmers - like a signature, its theirs alone - identifies their property lines - that doesn't include razortina wire - that is a whole different thing the tatoo stuff is made up - like a comic book, not real patterns google it for more details too many to type here
Q: The light fitting I bought has 1x Red Wire (A) 1x Green Wire (E) and 1x Blue Wire (N)...
The green wire is just a ground wire, black is usually the hot wire, that would leave the blue wire as the neutral wire. The white wire in house wiring is the neutral. The two red and one black from your wall is not standard in the USA, but it may be 220 volts. What kind of light fixture are you replacing, is it on a ceiling fan?
Q: how to wire a receptacle with 6 wires?
use 3 wire nuts and 3 jumpers, color to color and then connect the others together. Black wire to the dark screw, white color to the silver screw and the green to the ground connection. If this does not make sense to you contact a local qualified professional electrician to do the work.
Q: Okay so my question is how would I wire these in a ported box with 2 terminals on each side of the box? Also, is the quot;Bridged Wirefeatured in the diagram negative speaker wire? Thanks.
Bridging isn't something you do with the subs wiring. It's the way you wire them on the terminals. Each amp's manual should tell you which terminals are the bridgeable ones. That's a mono amp. There's not much you can do there with bridging etc..Try looking for a 2 channel bridgeable amp and then worry about wiring the subs. Not sure why you would want two terminals on both sides of the box anyway.
Q: The wire on my headphones were cut clean off in the middle of the wire. Is there any way it can be fixed? I tried to find out other ways but it seems one of the only ways is to strip the wire of its covering. Is there a way to fix it without burning the wires?
to add to Generic John's post ..pay attention to the color of the wires. one will most likely have no cover to it ,thats the neutral. so it would be for example . to red, white to white , neutral to neutral
