- Yes, it's the roller itself. However, as the use of wheels is not so good control, because the surface of the bearing itself after finishing processing, very smooth, friction will be very small.

- dude dont listen to these guys abec doesn't depends on the size of the number. all abec run the same. most skateboard bearings are abec 5 so i would stick with reds if your price range is low or swiss / ceramics(bones) if you have a higher budget.

- these are some crappy brand fake bearings. what you need is Lucky Swiss or Bones Swiss those are the best bearings out there look for those on OKorder and see how much better they are
- Q: can i use rubbing alcohol to clean my skateboard bearings?
- Ditto on the don't use WD-40 and definitely don't put cooking oil on your bearings unless you want to be a crud magnet. Rubbing alcohol should be fine for cleaning, but you'll definitely need to lube the bearings with a high quality bearing grease from your local sports/skate shop. Without the lube, the bearings will be clean, but the metal against metal will cause them to wear out way too quickly. Good luck!

- depends what kind of gun oil, there are lots of oil that'll leave a residue behind which will just make your bearings collect more dirt and dust, gun oil is know for doing that but you always try it out, in a pinch i've used oil before but it's not always the best for lube. A can of tri-flo at the hardware store will work great and should last a long time if you just use it for your bearings. If you have a lot of gun cleaning supplys maybe you have something called rem oil, it'll work good enough to keep your bearings lubed and doesn't leave a residue behind.

- Draw yourself a picture of what is going on. Bearings are normally the angles from true North. Draw A with NSEW cross hatched Draw B with NSEW cross hatched. Then extend line from A to B and put in the 87 degree angle from N. Then add up the angles ---- 3 + 90 + 87 = 180 degrees from B to A. So B is 87 degrees E of N of A and A is 3 degrees S of W of B.

- Honestly i wouldnt try cleaning them! Almost everyone i know who has tried cleaning them, they have seized up after. So if i was you buy new ones even cheap ones are good. Swiss if you can afford it. Bones Reds or Mini Logo are very cheap! Also pop the sheids off they make them a little faster and sound really good after they are worn in! Let me know what you end up getting! :)
