- They use the same bearings. Don't waste your money on anything more expensive than Bones Reds. Bearings make no difference. If they spin they're good.

Therefore, these bearings usually used as non position end bearings. NU design The outside track of NU design bearings has two unitary flanges, while inside track without flange. Axis's axial displacement to bearing block can be duded by bearing from two directions. Therefore, these bearings usually used as non position end bearings. Due to the reason of manufacture and maintenance, two flanges of outside track of NU design big bearings showed on drawing maybe not unitary, but with loose fit-up flange rings. NJ design Outside track has two unitary flanges, inside track also with one unitary flange. Therefore, these bearings suitable for the axial orientation of axes from one direction. Since their design and usage are for different purposes I would say no they are not interchangeable.
- Q: ok. i got a new pack of bones reds and new wheels. i dont know how to put the bearings in properly though. if I push them in all the way to where the axel goes throgh the wheel there is a good 3mm gap between the bearing and the edge of the wheel, which i'm assuming would make it difficult to get the bearings off. should the bearings go in like that or should they only go to the edge of the wheels? thanks
- Put lube around the sides then put it in the side of the wheel. To put it in all the way just use the axle of the truck to push it in.
- Q: the bearings are abec 3's and they just dont seem to go as fast as they used to. any suggestions on how to make them go faster?
- I used to do this with old bearings: Soak them in soap water. It removes all the lubrication and makes them go really really fast. Of course, without the lubrication they won't last very long, and they are likely to freeze up or break apart, which would make you fall very violently. Which is why I used only old bearings to do this, and only used them for a short time before they crapped out.

- Reds are an excellent choice for economic bearings. They are very good for the money. There are better bearings on the market, but can cost 2-3 times as much or more. Pig Swiss, Black Panther Swiss and Bones Swiss will outperform Reds.
- Q: I had found out bones reds are one of the most best bearings for the money, and lots of mates have them so I bought some bones red's from Trademe (the New Zealand version of ebay) and they were real and all. as soon as I got them I rode them all around. but after about a week they were worse than my abec 3's. So I changed Back to them. While I was at the skate park People were saying that bones reds just need wearing into. so I cleaned them by soaking them in turps then putting speed cream on them. I have been skating heaps this month. but still not beta...???So any advice or help of what im doing wrong would be appreciated
- Don't buy anything from anyone you don't know. Never buy from Trademe or eBay because somehting might be wrong with it. If you're going ot buy online then go to a trusted skatesite or a skateshop. Your Reds are probably dented causing more friction. Just pick up some FDK's ($10 abec 3's) or some new Reds.

- FKD bearings seem to last longer and can endure flip tricks and such, but black panthers roll a little faster. I think it's all down to opinion though, it all depends what you personally prefer.

- It's gonna suck...big time. If it's knocking, you'll have to probably pull the crankshaft anyhow......
