- Do they have dirt in them? Dirty grease? That cleaner should be fine id recommend a brake parts cleaner its similar compound but stouter. Then regrease them.

- the bearings are press fit. you drive them out with a hammer and a punch. You need a hydraulic press to push the new bearings in place. The best way is to remove the swingarm and take it to the dealer to replace the bearings. The bearings usually get rusted up before they actually wear out. You might be able to clean them with solvent and regrease them.
- Q: Ive put some 18 wheels on my car (which shouldnt be a problem because I know people with bigger ones on a golf) as soon as they went on, the car makes a howling noise from the front, a bit like a wheel bearings gone, or they are catching on something? - Hi, the front wheel bearings on the golf's are not a tapered type and are very hard to check for freeplay / wear when car is jacked up...I have worked for VW for 30 years and changed many of the front pressed in type bearings....the only sure way of testing which side bearing is noisy is to spin the wheel up to a high speed with car jacked up and feel the bottom of the shock behind the wheel hub were the hub is bolted to it, if the bearing is worn you will feel a grinding sensation through the hub. This can be very dangerous if you are not careful....we used a mobile wheel balancing machine to spin each wheel up while, it was jacked up on one side... I would not try this if I was you with no training...Get a 2nd opinion from your local VW specialist or come and see me if you are in NW UK...

- Just get the Bone swiss. As long as You movin you good! Btw My friend makes bearings faster then bone swiss. He sells em for around 30 bucks. He gave me a pair since i skate with him. If intrested PM me
- Q: what type of abecs, brand, ect. im tryin to build my own but i would like to know what good parts to put into it before i build it
- Don't use WD-40 it ***** up your bearings. To lube them just take them out of the wheels and usually the inside part isn't covered and just put in Bones Speed Cream or some other skateboard company lube in them. Sometimes the inside part is covered, if it is you might be able to take it off but sometimes you can't and the ones that you can't take them off then you can't lube them.
- Q: Alright, I don't know if it would be a good Idea to put the Water shield repelling coat spray that you put on shoes, on Longboard bearings. Since I ride my longboard constantly, and I really would like to ride it in the rain. As much as I want to do that, I don't want to get my bearings rusty or at risk from them being rusty. So I was thinking if you could put water repellent spray on my bearings.
- It won't work. If you want to ride in the rain, you need either solid stainless steel bearings or solid ceramic bearings. Both races and balls must be made of ceramic or SS. They cost more, but aren't harmed by water. Water will also damage the deck unless you have a fiberglass or carbon fiber deck.
