Q:I just bought a new computer, a DELL Inspiron 530. It has none of the older 4-pin power cables from the power supply; only the newer SATA power devices. I have an older hard drive, that connects via IDE cables (the gray ribbon). Ive already bought the card that converts the IDE to SATA, and it is connected to the mother board. Here is the problem: the IDE Hard Drive is powered with the 4-pin power supply that Ive seen on EVERY power supply before this one. The IDE to SATA converter came with an extension for that 4-pin power supply. But the power supply in the tower DOESNT HAVE ANY 4-PIN POWER ADAPTERS. It has one free SATA power. Im looking to take the SATA power from my power supply, convert it to the old-style IDE 4-pin power supply (female) and plug it into the 4-pin extension (male) that powers my hard drive and SATA-IDE converter. Most converters go the other way... Please post links with examples of parts, since I cannot find anything that lets me do what I am looking to: I am afraid you are a victim of the penny pinching that companies like Dell need to do to make the machines at the price you want to pay for them. I would always recommend buying from a proper store (bricks and mortar) and taking a good look inside before parting with your cash. There are plenty of suppliers out there who will build a PC for you and look after you.

Is there a command or way to program a command so that i can power it off and back on or even restart it from my computer instead of walking over and unplugging it?: Your cable modem doesn't have its own IP address. Your PC that's plugged into the modem is what gets a unique IP. IP addresses are obtained on a lease that tends to use the same address until explicitly renewed or your connection goes offline for an appreciable time. If you want to change it, you can write a script (BAT file) to release and then renew your IP address (type ipconfig /? at a command prompt to learn how to use). I don't know why you want your IP to change so frequently. Your Cable provider knows exactly who is using which IP and when, so it wouldn't shield you from the RIAA/MPAA. If you are concerned about security, you're best off with a hardware router (Linksys or D-Link are 2 popular brands) that includes a firewall.

All xbox 360's can use the 203W power supply. Though you can not use the 175w or 150w power supply with a 203w xenon motherboard xbox. There are 2 different types of 203w power supply, there's a 2 pin and a 3 pin. It really doesn't matter which one you get, one is grounded and one isn't.

I don't want to pay for repairs!: If your not getting any power to the box no little green lite or humming noise coming from the box then its dead. your just going to need to get the box replaced you should be able to just bring your box in and trade it out to avoid a service call charge.

Q:If you submerss the metal end of any kind of power cable like an extension cord in water will it work again?: It will if dried out over night. Placing it in direct sunlight will dry it faster. A hand held hair blower/dryer will work the best. Never use a wet cord for anything! This could lead to electric shock and/or death!

Q:i just moved from canada to asia and the voltage in canada was 110 and here its 240 so i have a ps3 and i plugged it into a converter(converts voltage). After im done playing i noticed that the power cable is warm and you could move the two positive and negative prongs very easily as if they were about to come out of the cable. I have no idea what to do HELP!!!!!!!: You need a good power converter (appropriately rated for the PS3's power consumption) with a proper American style socket, or replace the PS3 power cord with one better fitting to the receptacle on the converter transformer.
