Product properties:

1. The long-term working temperature allowed by overhead conducting wires is 70°C;

2. When there are large-span rare weather conditions and there is less ice coating occurring in heavy ice areas, maximum stress the lowest point of the conductor sag should not be more than 60% of instantaneous destructive power;

3. When the wires are connected, strands around the connecting pipe should not bulge, otherwise the strands of wires in operation will be unevenly stressed, after the joints are pressed, outlets of connecting pipe should be covered with moisture-proof paint to prevent corrosion;

4. When the wires are installed, sag stress of all the wires at the same gear should be the same, and within the range permitted by the limited distances to the ground and exceeding the distance for protection of building, the conducting wire stress can be higher by 10-15% than normal tension.  Scope of application:  This product is applied to overhead power transmission and distribution lines.

Q: I need a low profile extention to the exsiting power cable so it can run along the skirting to the mains socket.I was thinking of joining flex wire to the existing cable, wrapping the 3 cores with heatshrink, and then wrapping the whole thing with white insulation tape. the guy from maplin told me I could do this but then I''ve heard that this is a bad idea (and probably against UK safety regulations).
What I would do is make an extension up and just plug the heater into that. When you don't use the heater anymore use the extension for something else. Normally you need a Janus plug a normal plug and 2.5mm^2 three core flex. You can solder the wires and heat shrink it, just make sure the solder join is done well. If you just twist it together it might heat up and burn.
Q: The difference between high voltage overhead cables and high voltage cables
Man, your weak tube is not quite long? If the length of the pipeline is very long, you need to wear the wire, unless you have no wire can be threading method. Your length of the pipeline is very long, in the tube when the tube has been added? There is no wire box to make up.
Q: Its on power and one is in a pc monitor and one is lying on the ground. Will the electricity go through the cable that is not connected and lying on the ground? is this safe to touch with hands or shoes?
Pasting the reply I gave to the other (deleted) question: Assuming these are the IEC-standard power cables I'm thinking of, yes and no respectively. Electricity will be able to reach both ends, but the plastic insulation at the end of these connectors should disallow any contact between you and the live pins. You may want to consider covering it up in non-conductive electrical tape, though, just to be sure no debris get in causing it to go live outside of the connector.
Q: Can I use a standard 12 volt power cable on an Elmo projector?
Possibly on the BoxiT-200 that takes 12 to 19 volts at 3 amps, positive center. Read the printing on user manual, it gives the requirements. Most other Elmo projectors are plugged into an ac outlet.
Q: my friend has a dell that has a btx mobo. the power supply looks like all the other power supplys. will getting a regular power cord at radio shack fit and work with the dell power supplys. the cables that come out of the supply are all the same as usual ones.
Which end of the power supply are you talking about? Are you talking about the end that goes from the outlet to the back of the computer? Then yes, it should be fine. * * *
Q: I have been given a Toshiba flat screen tv - the product type is 20VL44G however the power cable has been lost. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement from as I have Googled this and cannot find anything? I am in the UK, thank you all.
Plug interior the ingredient cables, then you ought to do a video reset..the television is attempting to apply the HDMI nonetheless... a million- turn off the potential of your PS3 and then turn it returned on returned. 2- throughout that, carry down the potential button till you spot something on the reveal screen. 3- And that’s approximately it. What it does is, thoroughly resets the video settings to 480p i think of, the priority-unfastened configuration, which facilitates it to paintings on any television or reveal screen.
Q: Some said that living near the power cable line might cause cancer because of the radiation from this powerline. Please help me decide. Thanks.
I can only tell you what my husband would say. He is a chemist and has done a lot of research on Electromagnetic Fields. He wouldn't buy it! Thirty years ago, he threw out our electric blankets! He moved the clock radio and phone off the nightstand! When he gets a call on his cell phone, he puts it on speakerphone and holds it away from his head! Obviously, he thinks there is something bad with EMFs. He would advise looking at other properties!
Q: Help in English:do these expressions have exactly the same meaning?
There is some overlap, but, as Eric says, a cable is usually thicker than a cord. There is an interesting saying in German that contrasts the two ideas. Lange Leitung ... kurzer Draht. English isn't so specific.
Q: u know the big power cable that hooks onto ur positive terminal. it's a piece of metal on the tip that's round and has a hole in the middle to hook it onto ur screw. my step brother cut the middle of it with pliers and alot of the top part is gone, is this the reason my sub isn't powering on? also it wouldn't fit on the screw obviously. so how do i fix this problem. get a different wire with a bigger end piece? thanks for ur time
cut the old end piece off. Thats called a terminal by the way, and find a terminal at radio shack, or autozone that fits under your positive battery terminal bolt properly then take your wire, strip it back about a half inch twist the wires so u have no frays, insert it into the new terminal....now this is the hard part......with the wire still inside the terminal set it on something solid, use something flat but not bigger than the terminal (like a 1/4 ratchet extension_ and a hammer and pound that terminal in one spot till you have the wire stuck in there real good.. dont throw your wire away they are too expensive!
Q: I have a USB powered external hard drive. The cable that came with it has to plug-ins for the PC. I know the fat one provides power so I use that one. I would like to know what the other skinny one is for.I have seen other people plug both in when using it and it worked fine for them. I am using just the fat one and it works fine for me. I would just like to know the reason for having both on a cable.
The Fat one is the Main one. If your computer is provide most power the HDD needed. That would be just fine. Just like on your case. The Skinny one is the Extended for getting extended power needed. Thus if some computer could not recognize your device, mostly caused by unable to get some power. You could plugged it both to get suitable power for your device.
