5. Cable properties and use instructions:

--For unarmored cable, is suitable for laying in indoors, cable channel and conduit etc., such cables can’t bear strong mechanical force.

--For STA armored cable, is suitable for underground installation , which can withstand certain mechanical pressure, but can’t withstand mechanical tension,on the contrary, for SWA armored cable, is suitable for vertical installation, which can withstand certain mechanical tension, but can’t withstand mechanical pressure.

--For PVC sheath not only has excellent chemical corrosion resistance, but also has the properties of flame retardant and non water-absorption.

-- For single-core armored cables, non-magnetic material or Aluminum tape is main armored material, which only applies to D.C system.

Q: So my vehicle's amp recently stopped working. It worked great after I installed it about a year before, so after testing for shorts, burnt out fuses, etc, I decided that the amp had died on me. After getting a new one-and it not working either-I checked the voltage at the end of the power cable where it hooks onto the amp. I get a 12v reading when the ignition is off, but only a 4v reading when it is in the run or aux. position. The in line fuse is good, as well as the battery (just had it checked). Any ideas as to why this is happening? As of this posting, I have NOT tried running a new power cable yet, but that is the next step if nobody has an answer. Thanks.
I had a similar problem a few years ago and simply couldn't make sense of it. I traced the power wire back testing it every couple feet and eventually got to the AGU fuse holder. I had ~14v on the battery side and very little voltage on the amp side. It LOOKED fine, and the fuse was fine, but something weird going on in the fuse holder itself simply wasn't making a good connection. I replaced it and was back up and running. I'm not going to say that's definitely your problem, but it's worth a check,
Q: I have digital cable through Cox. The receiver is plugged in, and the electricity is fine, but it won't turn on! Please help! I don't want to pay for repairs!
If your not getting any power to the box no little green lite or humming noise coming from the box then its dead. your just going to need to get the box replaced you should be able to just bring your box in and trade it out to avoid a service call charge.
Q: My girlfriend recently damaged (beyond repair) her hp touchsmart tm2 notebook pc Power Cable. I was wondering if laptop power cables are pretty generic, or is there a specific one that i need to order?
I busted my Compaq laptop power cord a few months back and I was able to find another at Walmart to replace it - it set me back $75 which sucked but it was a fairly easy replacement. I imagine you'll find the same to be true with your HP. Good luck.
Q: Hi, Whether it will causes any problem the power and speaker in a same path? I dont have a separate path for speakers to mount it in wall. I plan to use the existing path which is used for other electrical items. If i use the same path for electrical wire and speaker wire, it will damage the speaker or will make any short circuit in the electrical line?Thank you.
It is a BAD idea to run speaker wires and AC power wires in parallel. It wont cause a fire or harm anything - but you may notice a 60 hz hum or noise in your system if power is flowing through the power wires at the same time you are listening to your system. If this happens - then you need to re-run your speaker wires away from the power wires.
Q: I'm about to order everything to put a new sound system in my Jeep Wrangler and I've been planning the locations to run new wires and cables. I got to looking at the area's where I could run the power cable for the amp and have come to 2 conclusions. I could either drill a hole in a very difficult to reach but hidden area behind the dash and try to hide the cable on the interior of the Jeep all the way to the rear where the amp is.. or, I could run the cable inside the hollow frame rails (which have many pre-drilled holes to slip the cable in and out of) under the Jeep and then just drill a hole to the interior in an easy to reach location near the amp. My only concern is that the cable's insulation will breakdown and crack prematurely due to exposure to water and road salts.. is this a real risk if I run the cable on the exterior of the vehicle? Or will the cable hold up just as well as any other cable such as those in the engine compartment? Thanks for your help!
I have installed a system for a friend in high school, and he INSISTED i run it under the car. We ran the cable up through a rubber drain plug/grommet in the trunk area. Just check the wiring yearly to make sure its still in good condition. Wire takes a LOT of heat and other elements of the weather under the hood, a good quality wire should last for a good amount of time running outside the vehicle.
Q: Have a 480 volts 3 phase 16 amp motor. Need 400 ft of extention cord. Is is OK to use a SOOW 10/4 cable, the voltage drop is 2.67%(12 volts). Machine is powerd by a generator that I can run at 500 volts to counter the voltage drop.8/4 cable cost twice as much, but the voltage drop is 1.7%(8 volts).
I suppose this may work, just remember make sure you don't overheat your cord, and your motor runs ok with this setup, over or under voltage is hard on a motor. try using a volt meter on the motor while under load in order to find the proper voltage for the generator, that % is calculated and may not be acurate in real life.
Q: Hi. I recently purchased an EVGA Geforce GTX 670 FTW video card that need two 6 pins pci-e power cables. The problem is that the 2 in my pc have L shaped dongles in which one can't connect to the video card due to how it's designed. Is there any way to extend the dongle for reach? Are there any adapters that I can add to it? All knowledge sharing and suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
The specs say PCI express? established laptop is required with one X16 lane photographs slot to be had on the motherboard. So yes, also ensure that your vigor supply is at least four hundred watt, which it should be assuming it's not a relatively ancient machine.
Q: What happen's when you just yank the power cord out from the electronic (Computer or TV) while it is still running? Does it blow a fuse or something? And what should I do to fix whatever the problem is, assumming that the electronic doesn't turn on after i yank the power cord out?
in case you relatively desire to make a potential grant it relatively is large, yet i could look on OKorder for a bench potential grant, used stuff like it relatively is extremely good cost and frequently made and finished extra suited than you're able to do it except you have a great sort of journey at making home equipment. I certainly have an previous college potential grant that places out 5 amps at 20 volts and value ?5. a clean between an identical high quality could be ?a hundred +. good makes are Griffin George, Philip Harris and Unilab for academic instruments
Q: what size of main power cable to use for two amps with combined power of 600 watts rms.the length of the run will be about 12 feet from battery to amplifiers.
use a 4 Gage, always reliable and always dependable. Its a bit larger but you will have no problems
Q: i know i need the sata cable and power cable is that all i need
Yep, that's all you need. Some older SATA drives have legacy support for normal 4 pin molex connectors in addition to the SATA power cable. If your drive is one such, do not plug in both. Choose one or the other. If you buy a retail boxed drive instead of OEM, you should get a 4 pin molex to SATA power cable if you don't have SATA power connections already. It's also possible that the harddrive you bought is SATA2 (aka SATA 300gbps). If your motherboard only supports SATA 150gbps, there's a jumper you need to leave on the drive. If you have a SATA 300 drive and your motherboard supports SATA 300, you'll need to remove the pin for full speeds. It'll work though if you forget to remove it. You can look in the user's manual to see what your motherboard supports.
