Q: I recently moved from one state to another and brought my XBox 360 and games with me, but forgot the power supply, power cable and AV cables. I can't get a family member to ship them because they are all locked in storage and even if I mailed the keys, they are probably buried under everything else anyway. Most electronics stores sell the AV cables so that isn't a problem. But nobody seems to carry the power supply. Most places I've found online carry generic or no-name brand equipment which I want to stay away from for something this valuable and will only purchase genuine Microsoft equipment. Where can I look or buy it? Will I have to order right from Microsoft themselves?
This Site Might Help You. RE: Where can I buy an authentic XBox 360 Power Supply and cable? I recently moved from one state to another and brought my XBox 360 and games with me, but forgot the power supply, power cable and AV cables. I can't get a family member to ship them because they are all locked in storage and even if I mailed the keys, they are probably buried under everything...
Q: Are they the same because apple gives yuo the cable but you can buy the power adapter
the power adapter is so you can charge it off of a regular outlet rather than having to have a computer handy to charge it through the usb port. i recommend getting the power adapter, i have it and its good
Q: do you know if there any router power by rj45 cable not an AC adapter?
You can buy adapters for expensive Cisco and other Wireless equipment to do exactly this. The power is supplied across an RJ45 cable from a box situated in the patch cabinet I assume the receiving box has to have the correct ports to be able to use this.
Q: or do I need to buy one?
Yes it's a standard 3 prong pc plug.
Q: The hard drive is: Western Digital Caviar SE WD3200AAJS 320GB 7200 RPM, I'm getting from Newegg OEM. I know that OEM's don't come with a SATA cable which is fine but where can I find a compatible power cable? If it comes with one already please let me know. Thank you in advance.
An internal drive would be powered by your power supply. If you don't have any additional SATA power cords in your PC, I believe you can by a 4 prong to SATA converter. Otherwise you may have to look at getting a new power supply for your PC that has more SATA power adapters
Q: I have recently decided to scrap my capacitor and need and extra two feet of power cable in order for it to reach the amp....is it possible to splice and join two power cables together or is it a better idea to rewire with a longer cord?
The only way to properly splice the cable is to solder the cable to another piece of cable the same size. The best insulator is brush on tape , just make sure whatever you choose to use, it is sufficiently wrapped. There should minimal power loss if care is taken to make the connection well. However, the best way would be to run a new cable. But considering the trouble this may pose, a quality spice may be the best choice.
Q: can you use a standard molex power cable on a SATA HD or do you have to use a SATA power cable to power it?
depends on the drive.. sometimes a drive will have a 4 pin molex and a SATA power plug.. most newer drives will be SATA only though
Q: in the specs it says the power supply doesn't have a pci-e connector?Does that mean i cant use the video card, or is there a way I dont know? Please help.Thank you very much
Okay, right off the bat I see a problem with that power supply. Aside from not having a pci-e connection it states it doesn't work with SLI or Crossfire (i.e. Nvidia or ATI). Since you're wanting to get a GeForce card, which works with a mobo with an Nvidia chipset, you'd need a more up-to-date power supply. Second - that card uses 18 amps on the 12-volt rail, and according to the specs on that power supply it runs up to 16 or 17 amps, so the power supply you're looking at isn't powerful enough to support the card. My advice - first make sure your mobo has an Nvidia Chipset. Second, spend a bit more and get a better power supply, and check the voltage - you need at least 18 amps on the 12-volt for that card.
Q: Ok so I was doing something stupid just now. Cuttiing a power cable that connects to the tv. Halfway through to cutting it, the wire explodes and hit my face o,o. So quickly, I turn all of the switches off and run to wash my face. I just wanted to know whether it's ok to turn all the switched back on cus I'm literally in the dark right now. And will there be any damage to my face since the wire explodes in my face?
Everything will be fine to turn the switches back on, but you must unplug the cord you were cutting first. If not, you'll hear another loud pop as the breaker switches off. Unplug the cord, then turn the switches back on. Before you plug the tv in, check the cord going to it for burn or charring. If you do not see any, then stand to the side of the tv away from the screen and back, and then plug it in. Be careful. Unplug the cut cord first!!!
Q: I don't want to run it under the car, but I can't find a place to run it through the firewall... Do I need to drill a hole?
Look under the storage compartment on the passengers side. look under the dashboard on the drivers side, locate holes then look on the inside of the cars side skirts you should be able to remove the skirting and lay cable under there.
