- No they need to learn what they can and can not chew and rugs is a no no. They can't tell new from old and you will just be giving mixtures message and get the poor puppy confused. Also things like rugs are not good for them as they can swallow bits which can cause a blockage and mean major surgery to remove. Which i am sure you don't want.

- Carpeting of an entire apartment or house in Russia is rare. We, Russians, lay rugs on the floor or hang them on the walls. Mostly rugs are placed in living rooms or bedrooms, smaller rugs can be placed in hallways.
- Q: Which is more socially responsible: a machine made or hand made rug?
- Child labor is so frowned upon in the rug importing community, it's rather difficult to find products made with child labor anymore. Many higher end handmade rug manufacturers and importers actually sponsor schools and housing for their workers' families - see Rugmark and Care Fair. Machine made rugs tend to be of lower quality, and while I wouldn't necessarily say they put people out of work, they do require a lot of energy to run the power looms. Old fashioned hand knotted rugs made on wooden looms are pretty much carbon neutral, and if you buy the ones made with vegetable dyes, they're really quite ethical, relatively speaking.
- Q: For now, I have carpet just lay on top of the the old low carpet that the mobile home came with. it is sort of quick fix so cleaning is easier and the walking feel better. Is it okay to do that? The old low carpet underneath is ugly and have dirty feel to it, but I don't know if I should pull it up and replace the floor with vinyl flooring? My kitchen came with the vinyl flooring so I figure it is okay to pull the old carpet up and install it? - I would definitely remove the old carpet just because of the fact you said it feels dirty...carpet can collect all kinds of allergens and even make some people sick. Especially if there were pets in the house previously. For your health, remove the old carpet. As others suggested, there are options for you to lay the carpet w/ glue/tack strips. Also, Home Depot sometimes offers free carpet installation...you can see if you qualify.

- Q: Isn't it better to place a CPU on a desk or at least elevate it so that it doesn't touch a carpet or floor? (Even if the carpet is not shag?) I am trying to prove this to my boss but he insists that the computers remain on the rug. Keep in the mind that the computers have 3 intake fans, and a few outtake fans. They are placed in a church/office setting where kids could incidentally kick the computer or something. I also know that when computers are closer to the floor, they take in more dust. - Yes. Laptops certainly. This is because carpets have a very uneven surface, and they are spongy. What happens is the carpet will rest against the air intakes (which are on the bottom) and restrict air flow in. It also picks up a large amount of dust since carpet has a large surface area to trap such particles. If on a hard desk, the feet provide some elevation for air to move freely underneath so the fan can suck it up for cooling. This is desirable, however, computers will work pretty much anywhere.

- the thing is that wool and dye do have distinctive smells, that until you have had them cleaned at least once do not go away Black denim (not much different lol) smells horrible until it has been thru the wash a few times because of the dye, get it professionaly cleaned and hopefully the smell will go good luck
