Q: trying to install a 7 inch dvd,cd player but do not know what all the wire colors mean , some1 has cut off the harness now all i got is a bunch of strange colored wires , it has 2 reds and many other odd color wires: I'd okorder /installbay/foru... zxc

Q: Blue and white wires contain insulated strands and red wire has a bundle of non-insulated strands. How are the two types of wires (insulated and non-insulated strands) used in homes (i.e. what are they used for?).: The only wire I know of that has individually insulated strands, is Litz wire, used in radio frequency applications. If you mean the wire strands include such as a cotton strand, it is probably the core around which the other strands are spun.

Q: ive heard multiple people talk about a 'final wire'. what is it exactly? Is it the thickest wire possible? Or is it when you havent gotten your wire changed in a while?: I had braces for two years, and i have never heard of this term. But the thickness of wires depends on what force you need applied at a particular time. The last wire i had was the thickest, to ''cement'' my teeth, so they would not move anymore. It was left in for 2 months while my teeth adjusted to their final places. SO i believe it is for the last treatment before removal. Hope that helped. :D

If you are looking for a ground wire to connect something to eg. an amp, just connect the ground from the electronic device to the frame of your car via a bolt that goes in to your cars chassis/frame.

Q: So, I purchased a motion sensor light switch to replace the regular switches at my new condo. I have the wires exposed and I've identified the hot wire. My only problem is the hot wire (from inside the wall) is a single thick copper prong, whereas the wire for the motion sensor is split into like 15 different small copper wires.... I don't think the thick, single wire from the wall will work with the twisting wire connectors I purchased.... Am I able to just put the wires together and duct tape them??: Well you could twist them together and electrical tape them. But I would recommend you go back to the store and get some butt splices and crimp them to hold one set of wire at each end. Its just safer that way.

Q: Ok. so i wired my cd deck into my 92 buick, but everytime i start the car i have to manually turn on the cd deck. i also have to change the settings everytime! and once i turn off the car the setting will not save and the setting will be lost. Now everytime i turn my car on i have to manually put the settings again! this did not happen in my old car! and i think it might be the wiring! Because the last cd deck i had did save the settings! and would turn thge cd player on everytime i turned on my car!! and it would play the track back, right where i left off. please help! i did attach the yellow cable wire the red cable to the battery current.? is there a problem!: You should have the yellow power wire connected to constant power and the red wired to ACC. You don't and this is why it's bahiving the way it is.

Q: im hooking a amp up and i need to run my remote wire to my ignition wire: I have wired up alot of amps and the remote wire on the amp should be connected to the power antenna/amp turn on wire on the stereo head unit. This allows the amp to only turn on when the stereo is on. If you are connecting an amp to a factory stereo,I see why you would need to find an ignition wire. You need to probe the fuse panel with a 12 volt test light to find a circuit that only comes on with the key. Usually there is a spare accessory fuse location just for this. Buy a fuse tap or specialty fuse from a auto parts store to connect your remote wire to. There is very little current draw to turn on the amp,so almost any circuit on the fuse panel will work if it is only on with the key.
