Q: I found an old Karavan flatbed utility trailer and am currently converting it into a snowmobile trailer (2 place). Me and a friend riped all the wire off of the trailer and completely rewired it. No matter how we configure it, the lights aren't coordinated. If we hit the left blinker in the car, all the lights flash(like the hazards are on). Right blinker works fine. we wired it first from the diagram on the karavan site. Now once we think about it, they have us wiring the ground into the light. so we searched the web and found this layout.
well first you didnt say what type of plug your going to use, looked at your website and everything looks good there. your next step should be to check the tow vehicle, just to be sure it is wired right
Q: i have a black, red, and yellow wires in my trunk for a stereo system.i hear about this remote wire being blue (i have a sub/amp that needs a remote wire, ground, and battery) but i dont know which is which and where to put what.please help
The fact is, amp power wiring is available in all sorts of different colors, and people installing amps can use any color they like for any function. In general, don't depend on color to sort out wire functions. To find the battery wire, go look at the battery. The other end of the battery wire should be connected there. The the other end of the ground wire should be fastened down to vehicle metal, possibly under the rear seat or in the trunk area. The remote wire is typically much thinner than the battery or ground wire, and it's usually connected at the back of the head unit. You can use a volt-meter to determine wire function. The battery wire should have voltage at all times, and the remote wire will have voltage when the radio is on. The ground wire should never show voltage.
Q: Car audio wiring diagram
If you cannot get a wiring diagram for your stereo or car. It's still pretty simple to install a stereo. You basically just gotta color code all the wires. Red sometimes orange is power wire, black is ground, blue is remote the rest are speaker wires. Look for wires that are identical such as light blue light blue with a white stripe, gray dark gray with a white stripe etc.....
Q: I need a diagram so i can correctly wire my new radio, subs, and amp. Thanks

Q: i bought a wiring kit off OKorder it was a bullz 4 gauge kit. and i am running a rockford 500.2 n its rated for 700+ watts. so do you think my cheaper wiring kit is affecting performance? should i go snag up some bigger power wire for more power to run through it or is tht not how it wokrs?
you should add a capacitor to your system. a 5 fared should be good. it is a reserve for when the bass hits. it's less stress on your alternator and battery. and you won't get the headlight dimming affect when you have it cranked up. ask your local car audio shop. you should be good with 4 gauge.
Q: I have a 2000 Subaru Outback, and I can get the thing working, but it does not save any of my settings. i know its my accessory wire because the radio will not turn on from any other wire.. soo help please
There are two wires that you must hook up. One is for continuous power so that the settings are saved, the other is for power to the radio. If you had purchased your equipment from Crutchfield, you would have gotten free installation instructions and a wiring harness that would hook directly to your Subaru wiring - saving you a great deal of time and trouble.
Q: I live in a condo and Im trying to wire a new light. When I wire it, it stays on constantly despite hitting the switch. The wiring Im dealing with is as follows. At the switch on the wall, there is a red wire, brown wire connected to the switch. A green wire connected to the box in the walll behind the switch. In the ceiling there is a brown wire, green wire, and a white wire wrapped with an unstripped red wire.Coming from the fixture are black, white, green.Ive tried connected black-brown, white-white green-green but the light stays on no matter what. Also tried white-brown, black-white, green to bolt. Still the same thing happens. Not sure what to do.
Get a volt meter and check the voltage in each wire with the switch on and the switch off, will tell you which wire is getting power from the switch. This wire will then attach to your black. I would try black to red, white to brown and green to green.
Q: cat chewed two wires computer speaker wireand wii sensor bar wire well i can't just buy new ones or replace the wire so i need to reconnect them some how using insulated ferrules and electric tape and wire strippers any suggestions how to do this properly do i crimp them together with insulated ferrules or solder them together?what else can i do?i'm clueless how this worksneed help
A temporary fix would be to strip about 1/2 to 3/8 inch of insulation off each wire and twist appropriate wires together and fasten with wire nuts. A permanent fix would be to strip and twist then solder then cover with electrical tape and only electrical tape, no duct or masking tape.
Q: My boat came with a rule 500 2-wire auto pump. I have an on/off switch at the console. My replacement has 3 wires. How do I connect the 3 wires and still use my on/off switch?
Good after I used to be within the navy, electrical energy was once three phase. There was once no original. Considering the fact that its is a pump, my recommendation is disconnecting the pump out of your load. Go ahead and wire up your pump inserting the 3 wires on any terminal. If the pump rotates in reverse, stop the power and swtch any 2 wires and you are good to move.
Q: subs - dvc 4ohm 2 of them 600wattrms on each wiring it to a 1200 watt amp same brand as sub amp is 1 ohm stable to i wire the subs together and then to the amp a 1ohm? that would give each sub 600 watts right?
no wat i would do is wire 1 speaker to 1 port and wire the other speaker to the other pot thats if it is a 2 chanel amp... cause if not u will be pulling to much from 1 side and the speakers wont sound right..... u need to turn down the amp to at first and then bring up the bass gradually to make sure the speakers can handle it..... u also have the choice to bride the amp but thats it the spakers can handle the power... all u have to do is hook up positive then negative to 1 speaker the hook up positive then negative to a diffrent speaker but it has to be from a diff channel...... but if ur going to bridge the speakers then u go positive from 1 port to the negative to the negative of the other port this will give u alot more power to ur speakers.... thats why i recomend u hooking them up regular at first........... u also have to make sure ur gornd is like a foot long or less.... the shorter the ground the more the bass
