Q: I have white carpet, and it got stained up kinda, can anyone recommend me to a brand and model of a carpet cleaning machines? Will they whiten my carpet again?: the final factor I easily have discovered is clorox 2 it cleans each and every thing that a device cant get to, i exploit it on my fixtures and likewise on my motor vehicle carpet in my motor vehicle, i blended it with little or no water and scrub the stain with a textile, then blot it dry, tada,it leaves a great sparkling scent too!!

Q: I need to patch a section of my carpet. The size I need to patch is 2 feet by 1 1/2 feet. I will be patching just a few inches from the wall/front door. Here's my questions:1. Will the patch job be noticeable at all or will it blend in to the other carpet? 2. Will the replaced carpet piece be loose or need stretched? 3. What if the carpet I am patching doesn't exactly match because my current carpet is used and the patch will be brand new? I've never done this before so any advice for a first timer would be awesome! Thanks!: Here's my experience. As a landlord I've gone thru every type of carpeting and finally got so mad I ordered that short nap nylon/plastic stuff. I had it glued down. I figured no one could do anything to that carpeting. Well, the daughter dropped and left an iron and melted the carpet. I hired professionals to come take a piece out of the back of the closet to switch places. Does it show? Absolutely because of the lack of nap and they didn't take care to cut all the shreds from the outside edges. In other words-even if they had done a good job it would have shown. I have better business carpeting and they butt the ends up to each other and it's fairly hard to tell. So if you have nap, you'll be able to pull it off. It will wear soon enough. I would glue the edges and glue the piece so that it doesn't move. Be sure to match any design and direction and be careful to leave all the nap you can around the edges so you can brush it together. Since you're piece is so much bigger, it should be harder to tell. Lots of luck. And, oh yea, if you can take the piece from the closet, do that. It will have faded more than the new and put the new in the closet.

Q: We are building a new home and selected a stainmaster 50 ounce nylon carpet for the rooms that will be carpeted. Anyone have any opinions on this carpeting or personal experiences? We are carpeting the living room and bedrooms--we're very happy with that decision, just wondering about the quality or wearability of the carpet if anyone knows.: yes it is a great carpet and they stand behind it. l would always be concerned about light colours in high traffic areas and if you have chosen pile in high traffic areas...this will quickly be matted and will show dirt, regardless of the stain resistance...you must vacuum, preferably every day...because the dirt will go down to the base of the carpet and wear it out.

Q: I accidentally dropped my red nail polish on to my carpet... i tried using windex - it faded it a little bit- but i can still see it! anything else i can try? and i am going to have a carpet cleaner person come and clean my carpets so will they be able to get it all out? and could there be a reaction from mixing the windex with the carpet cleaner? PLEASE HELP!: Just use nail polish remover believe me it works, I spilled my black nailpolish on the carpet the other day and got it off with nail polish remover...
