The outer ring of drawn cup needle roller bearing is punched with the high-quality steel sheet. - Q: I heard that gas makes skateboard bearings go fast and go a long time. Can you do it with sealed bike bearings? If so, how long should it soak?
- I fail to see how gasoline would make the bearings have less friction. Sealed bearings are just that, sealed and as such would not be effected by a soaking in gas. Go visit a store that only specializes in bearings for cars, trucks etc. and chat up a fellow at the parts counter for some info. about bearings and perhaps you'll be a bit better informed on the choices available to you in your quest for more speed from your board.
- Q: (Forgive me I have no clue about vehicles, a friend of ours mentioned the bearings might be going out. I assume he was talking about the transmission) Is this a slow problem? - it can be a twin issue. The f150 has had multiple problems with bearings interior the rear end. It does no longer impression your potential to shift gears, besides the indisputable fact that. yet another bearing that is noisy is a wheel bearing. - Q: Well, I was wondering: do all skateboard bearings have 2 sides? I looked at abec 7 or 8 bearings and they do not seem to have 2 sides? How do I know which side should i grease? - By sides, I assume that you mean the shields that are there to block dirt from getting in. Only one shield is needed. Some makers include both and some only one. (This applies to ABEC 7 or any other bearing) The one on the wheel side is not needed since no dirt can get in there except through the other side. You don't grease the shields. There is only one set of balls in the bearing and greasing from either side will do the same thing. ABEC ratings are meaningless for skate boards or inline skates. The ratings are for vibration and accuracy in high speed industrial machines. You can get ABEC 7 bearings that are garbage or non-rated (Bones, TwinCam, and ZeroDrag all make non-ABEC bearings as their top models) bearings that are extremely good.

- Q: I cant put them in! I can only put it on succesfully on the inside of the wheel. The bearing wont go in the outside of the wheel(the logo side). just saying i use the method where you put it on the truck axis and press down with your wheel
- u press the bearing into (the logo side of) the wheel and it doesnt have to be completely in. then put the other bearing into the other side of the wheel. then put the wheel (w/ the 2 bearings ) in the truck. then screw the nuts really tight , youll feel the bearings press into the wheels. then unscrew them again to see if theyre completely inside the wheel. that other method works too as well if your strong eenough to press it in
- Q: if someone has the LUCKY ABEC 7 bearings.....the black part/side of it and the silver side of it....which one goes outward? does it matter? if it does... please tell me how because i dont want to screw up my board. THE ONE FROM ZUMIEZ... with the green/silver/black tin
- Silver out it does matter because you dont want dirt getting in your bearing and f-ing them up. Spacers are seperate from the bearing their just little cilindrical tubes.The easiest way to put bearings on is to put your bearing on the truck your wheel then press down on the wheel same for the other side.

- If the wheels aren't turning, it is possible that your trucks and bearing are rusting together...did you ride through water, then not ride for an extended period of time? If so, you should take it to a skate shop and see if they will clean them for you, and if they can't, you may need new bearings and trucks. Also, if you can get the bearings out (using a T-tool, of course) and they are rusted,you can get new bearings, soak them in Gasoline for a day and pop 'em in! I hope this helps, -Nate
