Q: how do I wire the generator so it can spin 360 on the pole with out snapping the wires.... Thanks: You need some ring contacts and brushes that will be touching those rings that will be spinning while the generator does to complete a circuit without twisting wires. Make sure you get the right size rings and wire for the amount of current

Q: i have just got a radio from a 2004dodge durango my buddy bought a new radio and i tok his old one, so now i need the wiring diagram to find out what all the wires goo too their are way more wires on thios thing that im use to on stock radios. ive looked it up online and its not the right diagrams the colors dont match up on the wires. ny help pleaseeee: If you havent already cut the wires then go to an audio store (best buy, local shop ect...) and buy a wiring harness. If you already cut the wires you NEED to test the wires with a test light and 9v battery and not rely on online diagrams because 90% of the time they are wrong. way to do it is find your positive, negative, and turn on wire with a test light. test every single wire with the test light to make sure there arent any live wires still left after you found your power wires. after you have done that to find the speakers take a 9 volt and hold one wire to the positive and touch every wire and listen for a speaker to make a scratching noise. when you hear the scratching noise then that means those two wires go to that speaker. if your totally lost then rewire the factory plug back on and then go get a wiring harness. theyre like 15-20 bucks and save you a whole lot of time and its a lot less mess to deal with.

Q: Ceiling fan has Green, Blue, black and white and the ceiling only has a black wire and white wire.: The blue and black wires from the fan are twisted together and attached to the black wire coming from the ceiling box using the enclosed wire nuts. The white wire from the fan goes to the white wire from the box. There may be a bare copper wire bent up into the box, if so pull it down and attach the green wire to it. If there is no bare wire you can get a short piece of bare copper wire and attach it with a screw to a hole in the metal box with an 8/32 machine screw. Wrap the copper wire clockwise around the screw, tighten, and then join green wire to bare. If you have no bare wire and the box is plastic then you will have nothing to use the ground wire to and it will be unused.

If you have the knowledge and the tools, find out which wire or wires is/are hot in the box with the switch off. If you have no idea what I am talking about, you REALLY need to find someone who knows electricity. BTW, the wires in the fan are quite simple to decode. The green wire is the ground and attaches to either the box or a ground wire in the box. The white wire is the neutral and attaches to the white wires in the box. The black is the hot lead for the fan and the blue is the hot lead for the light. These two can be combined if you have only one wall switch. Where they attach in the box will be determined by which hot lead is switched. I can probably guess how the box and switch are wired but I may be wrong and that would be dangerous. Call an electrician so you don't burn your house down.

Check the manual to see which connections you need for your situation. If it can turn on your heater (and air conditioner if you have one), then it is connected properly.

Q: Hi,I'm trying to install a ceiling light with a 3 wire configuration (white, black, ground) into a wire configuration of 4 wires (white, red, black, ground). This is configured for two on/off switches.So far, I have white to white, black to black, and ground to ground with the red capped off. This works with one switch perfectly, however when I hit the other switch, the circuit breaker blows.Please help, and thank you!: The three wire plus ground coming from the light to the switch, needs a FEED to the two switches! So, one of the three wires has to be connected to the feed. That would be the black wire. I believe that the white wire is one of the switch legs coming from one of the switches. That is why when you turn on the second switch, the breaker pops. Take that white wire coming up from the switch box off of the group of whites in the ceiling box and cap it.

How do you connect thoes wires to the main wire??? the distribution?: Ok, first thing you want to do is, for each subwoofer, wire a negative and positive together. You can use regular speaker wire to do that (well you're supposed to anyway). After that, you will have a negative and positive terminal left on each subwoofer. What you need to do is run a speaker wire from each of the terminals, so you have 6 different wires from 6 separate terminals. Make note of the 3 positive wires and the 3 negative wires. Now what you do is simply twist together the 3 positive wires together, so you have 1 positive wire. Connect that positive wire to the positive terminal of the amp (if it's a 1 channel amp. If it's a 2 channel, connect it to a bridged channel on the positive terminal. Or however you want.) Do the same for the 3 negative wires. Twist them together to have 1 negative wire, and connect it to the negative terminal on the amp. Finished! That kind of wiring is called Series wiring, by the way. The other kind is called Parallel wiring.

Or does it mean you can use it for both?: Wire can carry current. It is your responsibility to select wire that will safely handle the voltage and current expected. Color conventions specify green for ground wires. You can use any color but green for power connections. Many cables have more than one wire in them, and may include a ground wire. Grandpa

Q: I have two alpine 1242d. I need to wire them parallel parallel. Ive seen many pictures on how to do it but im still a little confused. Okay first off do i need any special type of wiring or will my 4awg wire work. Because it shows multiple wire connections where the wires combine.
