Q: to which wire in the back of my car radio do i hook my remote wire to from my amplifier?: Most factory radios, your Corolla included do not have a dedicated remote wire. Some will have a power antenna wire that can sometimes be used but the Corolla doesn't have a power antenna. You want to connect the amp remote to a switched 12V + source. The appropriate wire on your factory radio is the gray wire. That way, the amp will turn on whenever you turn on the ignition. Alternatively, you can connect the remote directly to any switched 12V wire.

Q: I bought a bathroom vent fan today, the one that was in there hasnt worked since we bought the house. Anyways, i have a black wire, and a white wire coming from the light switch on the wall ran up to the ceiling where the fan is, and a black, white, and GREEN comin off the new fan i bought. Q: I am installing a Pioneer head unit in a 1997 Nissan Pathfinder. All the wires from the harness to the deck are connected according to color. I was able to connect all of the wires except for the stock orange/black wire coming out of Nissan's harness. I am assuming this wire has something to do with the illumination. The pioneer does not have an orange/black wire to connect it to. The deck will not turn on at all if the orange/black wire is:- not connected to anything- connected to the red power wire- connected to the yellow power wireThe deck will turn on if the orange/black wire is:- connected to the black ground wire- connected to the remote wireHowever when the headlights are turned on the head unit cuts off and will not turn back on until the headlights are shut off again. The only wire I see in the first link which is close in color is the black/yellow wire for the left rear speaker ground....no black/orange combo shown. Factory ground wire should be grey...test with a test light to confirm Constant power is pink....test also Switched power is blue...test also Once you confirm which wires are power and ground, hook those up to the deck wiring and then run the speaker wires to the proper ones on the factory harness. You can't always connect the same color wires from an add-on deck unit to factory wiring....wiring colors will differ. Consult the installation instructions or call the deck manufacturer tech assistance hotline. Make sure you have the correct wires from the deck hooked up to those factory wires....I'm thinking you have the wrong wire hooked up to the rear speaker ground or deck ground and the unit will only ground when that wire is activated somehow when the light switch is on.... /blue? is the factory illumination wire according to the first link. Have you got that hooked up wrong with the deck ground or speaker?

Q: ok so i wired the subs to the amp now, the positive (Red) goes to the battery, the ground (Black) is currently grounded to the metal under my drivers seat. My question is does it matter the color wire is that goes to the stereo? Can i use a red or black? Does it really matter? If not, where exactly would i hook it up behind my aftermarket sony headunit?: ok man to answer your question NO , it does not matter what color the wire is. what DOES matter is that your using the same brand wire,(just because some 4 gauge wire is bigger than Other 4 gauge wire) and it MUST be the same gauge wire for positive and GROUND. You will also need to run the REMOTE TURN ON wire from the back of the headunit to the REM on the amp. (without this wire the amp does not know to turn on. Next thing is your RCA cables these will run from the back of the headunit to the input on the amplifier. Last thing (OBVIOUS) is the speaker wire both to wire the subs to the correct ohm load and to also run from the speaker terminal cup (if you have one in the sub box) to the amp. * Looking back i think i miss read the question, no the wire color does not matter, just make sure its the same size as the wire from the headunit (not bigger or smaller) so probably around 16-18 gauge wire, color does NOT matter.
