Introduction

Control cable include PVC and XLPE insulated control cable, flame-retardant control cable and high-temperature resistance control cable. The control cable is mainly designed for controlling, monitoring circuit and protective lines with AC rated voltage U0/U of 450/750V and below. It is used to interconnect electric advices and instruments between electrical equipment.

Characteristics

1. Power frequency rated voltage Uo/U :450/750V or 0.6/1KV

2. The permissible long-term maximum working temperature of the cable conductor is 70 ℃.

3.Cable laying ambient temperature should not be less than 0 ℃, if the ambient temperature is below 0 ℃, the cable should be preheated.

4.The recommended bending radius for cables is as follows:

    No armored cable, should not be less than 6 times the cable diameter;

    Armored or copper tape shielded cable, should not be less than 12 times the cable diameter;

    Shielded flexible cable, not less than 6 times the cable diameter.

Q:I recently worked on a early 2000 Smoker Craft 24 foot pontoon. It has a 40 horsepower mercury outboard motor. I got it working as it's been sitting for a couple years. However, the throttle control got locked in the reverse position and I can't get it to move. Q:i have a 98 monte carlo wuith console shift. i need to change out the shifter cable, can anyone give me some advise on how to that?: INSTALLATION PROCEDURE CAUTION: The automatic transaxle range selector cable is made out of two cable sections. After initial connection never separate the two metal couplings from one another. Integrity of the connection of the two metal couplings will be lost if separation of the two metal couplings occurs. When servicing the transaxle remove the cable at the automatic transaxle, range selector lever and at the automatic transaxle range selector cable bracket. If either section of the cable needs to be replaced, replace both of the cable sections. Loss of connection integrity of the two metal couplings can cause loss of transaxle shift control which could result in personal injury. Set the parking brake. Block the wheels. Place the transaxle in the Neutral position. Place the shift control in the Neutral position. Connect each cable section to the following before connecting the two cable sections: To the automatic transaxle range selector lever and shift cable bracket. To the column or the console shift control and retainer or wiring harness clip. Insert the metal end fitting of the shift control cable into the transaxle cable end. Use the molded end fittings to push the metal end fitting of the shift control cable and the transaxle cable end together until the metal post snaps into place. Depress the adjuster clip once. This mobilizes the adjuster housing toward the transaxle end fitting. Line up the end fittings so they slide together until you feel the parts cam together and lock. Depress the adjuster clip completely. This locks the cable into its adjusted service position. Pull the conduit in the opposite direction to assure full system adjustment of the shift cable Ensure the conduit is fully engaged. IMPORTANT: The horseshoe clip with the tab is flush when fully engaged. The horseshoe clip with the tab is not flush when not fully engaged. Install the shift cable retainer and the wiring harness clip or the wiring harness strap.

The air conditioning works, but the heater just blows out cold air. Does anyone know what the problem is?: starting with the heater control sound there are various boxes that are vacuum driven and when switching the positions etc the vacuum closes them and opens them. these use gates or doors. now on to heater non operation there is a valve in the engine compartment that has heater lines going to it. this valve also has a cable and often a vacuum line. the purpose of this valve is to regulate how much hot coolant passes into the heater system. the cable works like your kitchen faucet slowly opening a passage either fast or slowly. this part is called the heater control valve. it likely has frozen inside and not allowing water to flow. ps you might wish to go to an autoparts store and see what it looks like for your car so you can locate it. it is on the passenger side of the engine area.
