- Q: My brother took his PS2 over a friends, lost the cables, and then took mine. So now I have to go steal my cables back every time I want to play, or not play. My PS2 is a piece of crap, but I can't afford a new one. Can I buy replacemt AV and power cables? I saw a MadCatz one, but the reviews said it was terrible. Thanks!
- the ps2 power cable is a standard cable. You will be able to get this cheaply ( you do not need to buy one that specifically states it is for ps2) if it fits, it'll work. You can buy replacement av cables for the ps2. they are the same cables used for the ps1 and the ps3.
- Q: I need a power cable for an XBox 360. where can i buy one?
- If it's the same as the power cable for an XBox, try Radio Shack. That's where I bought a replacement cord for mine.
- Q: I've heard of a new file transferring tool which transfers file through power cables and I need to know about how it worksand how does it apply the pulses or the waves to the frequency of the power cables!!
- No it is not possible to transfer the data through power cables, Ask what you actually want to do i will solve your problem.
- Q: I have been looking all over the internet for one of the previously stated cords, and I just can't seem to find one. I really don't know much about power cords, but a monitor a friend gave me needs a 12V, 4.0A DC power cable.I would prefer to use a site like newegg, OKorder or cables unlimited (or a large retailer like Walmart).
- If the pin fits, and the tolerance on the 12V is comparable, the better amperage should not be a controversy. in case you have a voltage meter, you are able to verify the 12V adaptor for its output.
- Q: I was replacing the hard drive of my desktop computer but now I don't know where the cable [see picture] fits. it obviously goes somewhere since the computer does not turn on now. The Hard Drive is SATA if relevant. Thank you!
- That's the main power connector for the motherboard. It probably plugs into that white socket behind it on the board, but check the motherboard manual to make sure you put it in the right place. It's pretty hard to plug things into the wrong place most of the time, but check to be sure.
- Q: the power cable is in 2 parts, one from the xbox to a box, from the box to the wallthat box has an led light. when the xbox is on, it should turn green, when the xbox is off it should turn orange. my led light is turning red instead of orange and green.its not red ring of death, or 4 red rings, i know this because my xbox wont even power up because the box in the power cable will not send power to my xbox. im so confused...plz help
- I can't answer your question coz I've got the same problem too! can somebody please answer his question?
- Q: I just bought a new computer, a DELL Inspiron 530. It has none of the older 4-pin power cables from the power supply; only the newer SATA power devices. I have an older hard drive, that connects via IDE cables (the gray ribbon). Ive already bought the card that converts the IDE to SATA, and it is connected to the mother board. Here is the problem: the IDE Hard Drive is powered with the 4-pin power supply that Ive seen on EVERY power supply before this one. The IDE to SATA converter came with an extension for that 4-pin power supply. But the power supply in the tower DOESNT HAVE ANY 4-PIN POWER ADAPTERS. It has one free SATA power. Im looking to take the SATA power from my power supply, convert it to the old-style IDE 4-pin power supply (female) and plug it into the 4-pin extension (male) that powers my hard drive and SATA-IDE converter. Most converters go the other way... Please post links with examples of parts, since I cannot find anything that lets me do what I am looking to
- I am afraid you are a victim of the penny pinching that companies like Dell need to do to make the machines at the price you want to pay for them. I would always recommend buying from a proper store (bricks and mortar) and taking a good look inside before parting with your cash. There are plenty of suppliers out there who will build a PC for you and look after you.
- Q: So I was replacing the processor in my Laptop (Inspiron M5030) and I accidentally puled apart the cable connected to the power button. I couldn't see a clear way to connect it back, and I was wondering if there was any way I could do it myself or would I have to buy a new part? It's not the end you plug into the computer itself, it's attached to the end that's screwed into the computer.
- Hope this helps. Regards, GauravS
- Q: I bought a 1999 Volkswagon jetta and there is no sound coming from the speakers. There are speaker cables, power cables, and input cables in the trunk. The powers cables ( there is 2 of them) are both connected to the negative terminal of the battery. There is also 2 input cables. Do I need an amp in order for my speakers to work? If I do how do I connect it? I connected my ipod to each speaker individually and they all work.
- what your probably missing is actual RCA cables from the head unit or you speakers were supposed to be connected to a amp and when the original owner took the amps he didn't connect the amp back to the stereo. so if you want theres more than one thing you can do. have a shop connect the speakers back to the head unit. get an 4! channel amp and have it hooked up also by a shop or you can try your self but i recommend a shop doing it if your not confident. but theres really no mechanical problem so you don't have to drop any money on replacing any speakers certainly if they sound good up to your quality when you heard them.
- Q: I recently bought a Logitech Rechargeable Speaker S315i, but i lost the power supply at a party. I was wondering if anyone know of a website where i could just order another cable (that fits and work) for the rechargeable speakers. 100-240v Power supply. Or do i have to buy a new speaker?
- There is no direct benefit for the operation of the speakers by upgrading to a 750 watt power supply. The amplificatiion power is external. Only a small relatively small power signal is delivered by the computer
