- Q: the light on the power cable box is orange when the xbox is turned on does this mean the cable is broke or the console? thanks
- try taking all the cables out from the back of your xbox and tv and re-attaching them properly. If this does not work, consider going to the microsoft website under the help section, and see if you can find the answer. If not, then ring them up for free and they will tell you.
- Q: Is it safe to connect the case fans in line with the hard drive, or should I use a separate power cable?
- It shouldnt hurt anything. but i would rather have mine on a separate circut.
- Q: So here is the power supply, motherboard and graphics card I have.Power Supply: ATX-TL500W-BK Motherboard: GA-78-LMT-S2 Graphics Card: GV-N960XTREME-4gd As you can see the mother board is a (pcie 2.0), and my graphics card is 3.0 with a 6pin and 8pin slot on the side for It's power cables. My previous graphics card didn't need any cables to run to it, so I don't know what I need for going from the 3.0 to the 2.0, and I don't know where the power cables for the card connect to.Any help is very appreciated.
- You have a big enough PSU--400W recommended, you have 500W available. The cables from the card go to the PSU. If you don't have the right one(s) then buy adapters. Contact card maker for those if you didn't get any in box or search Google.
- Q: I have a 240 watt jbl subwoofer in my truck and a 200 watt kenwood amp i bought a kit of 550 watts. But i just bought a 900 watt visonik subwoofer and a 700 watt visonik amp. i need to know if i can use the 550 watt power, ground, rca cables for my new system?
- The load ratings on amp install kits aren't usually very accurate. If it is an 8 or 4 gauge cable, I would replace it. Go with a 2 or 1/0 gauge kit. This might seem like a bit of an overkill. But, like I tell everyone. If you lay the groundwork right the first time, You won;t have to tear it up late when you want to upgrade.
- Q: The power button doesn't appear to be wired correctly. I press it and nothing ever happens. The only way to shut it down is to forcefully remove the power cable. My PC also does not shut down when I select shut down in the start menu. It just restarts.
- replace your power button and reinstall your oprating system.
- Q: hey people i would like to know that my big fat power cable thing is not going into the socket the main power socket thing of the back of my xbox 360 elite and was wondering is there a way to fix that
- make sure the terminals arent bent....it should slide right in.
- Q: How, i guess versatile are they. I have a Dell M1730. Basically i went on a plane and left the power cable in the suitcase, took the laptop as carry on and they lost my luggage. Is this something i HAVE to buy from dell, or can i run to circuit city and get something. The brick for this laptop is HUGE.....my dad's laptop cable fits in fine, but i'm afraid to plug it into an outlet.Thanx
- Dell is better than they used to be. Their XPS laptops are not half bad, and their standard cheap ones are good for basic use (school, surfing the web, etc). I find them fun to modify, but that is probably a bit above the level of most general users. HP is pretty solid, Asus is a good contender (I have had a few Asus laptops with no issues), and Toshibas are good for general use as well. I do recommend to you (and anyone who uses a computer) to actually learn basic maintenance and repair for your computer. Saves you money in the long run, and with a decent level of knowledge, you will rarely even need any sort of tech support. Computer basics are not difficult, you just have to take the time to learn it.
- Q: Can anyone explain where I need to plug in the 6-pin cable for my ATI Radeon 1650 Pro graphics card? Or any pictures/diagrams? Thanks!
- my PSU came with that adapter :P
- Q: I bought a 9800 gtx card, and it needs 2 power cables connected to the power supply for it to work. It's a monster card. My power supply has one pci express power cable only. Will I need adapters to plug into my power supply?
- The adapter must have two of the four pin Molex connectors. It uses three of the wires, in the four pin Molex connector. (3 wires x 2=One 6 pin PCI-Express power connector)
- Q: My Xbox 360's power supply cord is very loosely connected. I've tried to push it with force, didn't go further. Games lag a bit (GTA IV, for example) at graphically expensive situations. Simplier games like Limbo and Worms run without any problems. I think my console suffers from voltage drop because cable isn't properly connected.Power cord looked like this already when I connected my console for the first time. Now my Xbox 360 S is only couple of days old. Please tell me what your consoles look like. Power supply's light is also orange. Not yellow, not red - orange.
- It's not possible to drop voltage as you said. It's either connected, or it's not. The power won't wain. It just won't work at all if not properly inserted. But if the power cord won't seat properly in a brand new console, you're still under warranty. I'd get it replaced if I were you..
