Q: ok so i'm entering a competition to win a horse rug and am not sure how the sizing works. as a rough guide only, i need to know what size rug goes on what size horse (e.g. 15hh horse needs size _' _quot;). thanks :): Measure from the horses centre of chest to his tail and that will be the length of the rug. It does not make much difference height wise because some horses will have longer or shorter backs.

Q: We found a really nice area rug in a storage but it somehow got wet and moldy, can it be cleaned? I have it laid out outside to completely dry out, would a carpet shampooer clean it, is there anything special I should use?: If small, I'd launder it at home, putting in a bit of oxyclean with the detergent. If largge, I'd take it to a do it yourself car wash (spray wand) and spend a dollar. Pressure helps.

Q: My new living arrangement will be in the basement of a house my friends and I are renting. The house is kind of older, so it's going to be kind of tricky finding good newer style furniture that won't clash with the rooms. The basement has gray carpet (blah) with wooden walls that have sort of a mix of green and light brown color.: I love the idea with the navy and the orange! Very cute, modern, and classy. The walls might not match, but its worth a try. I think it will work. This may seem a little crazy, but you could get like the paint swatches at Lowe's or Home Depot of navy, orange, grey, or whatever colors you want and hold them up to the walls to see if they clash. It's worth a try.

Is there a way to install carpet without having any effect on the real wood floors beneath?: You can loose lay a carpet over the wood but w/o a special mat under the carpet it will still ruin the wood. In your case your best off to invest in some area rugs and still use this mat that allows the wood to breathe and keeps the rug from bunching and slipping. When you move your area rug goes with you. Loose lay carpet , you can have the edges bound to keep it from fraying.but this special mat is still needed to keep the rough action back from scratching the wood and to not stain it. Q: Urine odor is old and on natural dye rug.: Send it out for a professional cleaning. Normally I'd recommend Nature's Miracle (or a similar enzyme cleaner) as I do for carpet and furniture, but for a natural-dye rug (and valuable, I'm guessing?), don't chance ruining it with a DIY remedy.
