Q: Where can I rent a carpet cleaner???: Go to a business that is set up for just rentals. They have the best equipment, and clean and maintain it, at least good rental stores do. I have a place I use regularly and if you have any problems with the equipment they are there to help.

I'm painting the walls light purple and I need to know a good rug color so I can make the green carpet and light purple walls match. I was thinking lime green, a friend gave me the idea. Which color do you think will go good with it?: You need to pick up the same color in your wall and a tad of the green in your existing rug. No, not lime green! I suggest you find a rug first that will look good with your existing rug and then choose the shade of purple that you can pull from the rug. There are lots of paint colors but limited amounts of rugs. Maybe a cream background with the dark green and some shade of purple? Hold off on your paint color for now. Or, the same shade of green as your carpet with some shade of purple and cream in the rug. Then, match your wall color to the purple in the rug you choose.

Q: I bought an area rug from Home Depot, a large 7x9 rectangular rug. It has creases from being rolled up. I have searched online for any tricks that will help it to lay flat, and nothing seems to be working. I have:Rolled the rug the opposite way.Turned the rug over for 2 days.Ironed the areaI attempted to heat a wet towel in the dryer to place it on the area... but by the time I got the towel to my rug, it wasn't warm anymore.I've heard of any quot;ice cube trickquot;, but I seriously don't understand it. It should be back rolled around a tube. Carpet tubes work the best. Roll it tight. If the rug is large have some one help you. Q: I live on the North Shore in Massachusetts.I am looking for somewhere that would have classes on how to make braided rugs.Can anyone out there point me in the right direction? Thanks!: It seems like braided rugs are pretty intuitive -- just braid and sew, and use your imagination. If you are afraid of goofing up, you could try doing coasters or placemats first. I don't think you need a class, but sometimes it's nice to do it with other people.

Q: My roommate used a rug doctor to clean the carpet, she is a complete cleaning novice, and did it while i was at work. She sprayed to much of the cleaning liquid and left us with slightly damp carpet, it now smells. I have been spraying it with febreeze, but it doesn't seem to be helping too much.I was planning a dinner for some friends on friday night, but it's just embarrassing. Have you a remnant go to some carpet place and ask and look at those carpets that are displayed to determine your situation. I say your OK.If its loose laid (that is not glued ) rent a wet or dry vacuum and suck up all the water you can. then place whatever you can under the carpet to allow it to drain more and place a fan so it can blow under it if possible if you can't get it up for what ever reason just keep the fan and wet or dry vac working.

Q: i have a 3ft. carpet python and need to move him into a bigger tank. my question is what size of tank should i get. please use in gallons example: 20, 50, 60 gallonsthanks for ur help: I can only say this: Carpet Pythons are semi arboreal and need a tank that is long and tall. A 6-8ft. wide and 2-3ft. tall tank should do fine for the rest of the carpet python's life.

Q: I have carpet in my kitchen (awful). I decided to change the oil in my deep fryer and just put a couple of grocery bags together and poured in in there. I mistakenly put the used oil in my regular trash bag. When the bag was almost full I pulled it out and set it on the floor to continue stuffing it. When I moved the bag I noticed that the oil had leaked out and is now all over my carpet. A huge spot. How do I get it cleaned up.: lick it up.
