- Q: 1989 Honda Accord LxWhat is the wiring Diagram for the Stock stereo wiring harness?Just pulled out the old Stereo wanna put my deck in there now but i dont know the cars harness colorss.
- Check out a Chilton's manual for that car.It may be at your local library to view, not sure that they will let you check that out if they have it.Hopefully they have a color copying machine so that you could photo copy the schematic and take that with you.
- Q: can some one tell me how to wire two dual 4 ohm subs so i can get a 1-4 ohm load
- wire okorder /.... for more wiring options and explanations
- Q: I have a new light fixture I am trying to install. The electrical box has two sets of black and white wires coming in. Both of the black wires are connected together while the white wires from either set were used to connect the old fixture. How should I wire in the new fixture. The switch for this light has only one set of black and white wires connected to the light switch.
- Identify the wiring so you have the power feed and the switch leg and then put some black tape on the white wire going to the switch. This should be connected to the black power feed and then the white from the power feed is connected to the white of the fixture and the black from the switch leg is connected to the black of the fixture.
- Q: wiring diagrams
- Usually just find a spare socket to plug it into. Difficult bit is getting the plumbing right - read all the information supplied with the pump or look on the web before you buy it.
- Q: Would crepe paper stick on chicken wire?
- Crepe paper needs an adhesive to make it stick to a surface, such as white glue. However, it gets messy once dampened, as the colors may bleed. Instead, I would consider working with paper mache or plaster gauzing strips, which would provide a strong skin over the chicken wire. Both can be primed with gesso then decorated with acrylic paints. If this is a sculptural piece you want to keep, we would also suggest varnishing it for protection.
- Q: I bought a new light that holds two light bulbs for my bathroom and quickly took off the old light. I then noticed that wall had three wires coming from it, a black, red, and white. The light however has four wires coming from it, 2 whites and 2 blacks. How do i wire this properly so both light bulbs can be turned on and off simultaneously?
- I'm going to assume that you are in the U.S.A. (if not, then disregard the rest of my answer). On the new fixture, twist the ends of the black wires together and twist the ends of the white wires together. Connect the white fixture wires to the white wire in the wall (I hope it is in an electrical box). Connect the Black fixture wires to either the Black or Red wall wire. To determine which one, you will need to know which one is controlled by the switch on the wall. You could just pick one and see if it works. If it does not, then try the other wire. Do not use the cheap crappy wirenut connectors that usually come with these fixtures. Go to the hardware store and buy a pack of tan wirenuts (red will work if necessary.)
- Q: Why does a thin wire melt and a thick wire glow when put up to the terminals? Explain in terms of resistance and current. Thanks=]
- Sorry but that's not exactly the case. The thin wire actually burned thru because you exceeded it's ability to carry the current of the circuit that you connected to it. The thick wire glowed for the same reason. You probably have a short circuit in the device that the terminals are on. It would be impossible to address the resistance and current with the limited information that you have given us.
- Q: As in quot;I saw this pop up over the wireor quot;it came across the wire from Livingstonquot;.
- by telegraph or similar communication
- Q: I have seen 2 wire detectors and horn strobes, and 4 wire detectors and horn strobes. What is the difference? The 2 wires are cheaper.
- In 2-wire systems the power and the detector signal are multiplexed onto 2 wires. The detector has to have circuitry to extract the power and multiplex the signal onto the wires, making them slightly more complex. In 4-wire systems the power is separate from the signal, unless there is more than one signal from the detector (i.e. smoke heat). It could be 2 wires for power and 2 wires for a single signal (i.e. smoke), or 1 wire for power, 1 wire for smoke, and 1 wire for heat, with the 4th wire being common to all 3. .
- Q: Hi, I'm extending my pc 5.1 sound system stereo cables. I have a M/F extension wire which I will cut to solder a seamless wire to the system. Problem is that in the system cable I have a white, green(or red) and bare wire. and ont he extension I have a black red and white. Which wire do I connect to which?thanks
- It doesn't matter as long as you keep it strait, when ever possable connect a white wire to white wire, red wire to red wire etc...if you have like a green wire original but no green extension wire then I would use green electrical tape to color code the extension wire to the same color as the original, you can buy electrical tape in almost any color and wrap it around the wire and connector ends for color coding...
