- Q: I dont understand it I am trying to get a 1ohm load on a 2ohm dvc speaker but cant figure out how to tell if the wire you connect in the postive terminal on the sub in a neg wire or positive how do you tell what the gray line is on this diagram positive or negetive and how to tell. thanks
- wire both + together into 1 wire. wire both - together into another wire. wire the + and - to the amplifier. that's it.
- Q: What's the factors affecting resistance of a wire? and why? thank you!
- i) Cross-sectional area of the wire. Reistance is inversely proportional to the area of cross-section of the wire. More the cross-sectional area, easier it is for the electrons and hence charge to flow and hence more current and less resistance. ii) Length of the wire. Resistance is directly proportional to the length of the wire. More the length of the wire, longer is the distance to be covered by the electrons and hence charge thereby reducing current and increasing resistance. iii) Temperature. Higher temperature results in higher resistance. Higher the temperature, faster will be the oscillations of the ions in the conductor and the moving electrons will have to undergo more number of collisions per unit length of the wire, thereby reducing time between successive collisions and reducing drift velocity of the electrons which results in less current and higher resistance iv) Material of the conductor Some materials like metals are better conductors of electricity and offer less resistance to the flow of current. Non-metals have poor conductivity. Conductivity of charge in metals is mainly due to the free electrons in the outer orbits of metals.
- Q: -note-NOT . resistance wire.resistance OF A wire :)lol sorry, just had so many people give me resistance wire.thats not what i want :Li want ..what is the resistance of a wire?its for my science :) pleasee help

- Q: I know I am suppose to run the RCA cables and power cables on opposite sides of the car, but which side do I put the speaker wires on, ps I have an amp so I'll be running the wires from my trunk
- in my car i ran the speaker wires on the same side as the RCA's
- Q: its an older boat without fuse box, if you go to the manual on the website it gives you the wire layout. I know the radio works but a friend of mine disconnected the wires to try to put a switch in and never reconnected them. I don't know what to do with the ground wire or the red wire. Any suggestions?
- the ground wire black is connected to -ve of battery the red wire is connected to ignition wire so when you turn on the keys the radio starts the yellow wire is connected to +ve of battery, but radio will not switch on till red is connected. good luck
- Q: i need to know if my wires are hooked up right
- you must have a heat pump then. Basically the terminal connections should be the same as how those wires are connected at the indoor air handler. If you did not note the colors and the terminals they were connected on the old stat then you may have to check the air handler.
- Q: For my braces, the top wire where my two front teeth are, I can push the wire and it sort of bend. I don't know if this is normal or not. Can someone tell me?
- Just ask your dentist. have your mom call and ask.
- Q: What's the best kind of wire to use that can stand being kilned?
- that really depends what you want to do and how high you are going to fire. Generally nichrome 80/20 wire should be OK until cone 9. Then there is Kanthal which will withstand even higher temperatures but is more expensive than nichrome. You could get either probably in electronics supply houses. If you do lowfire, maybe up to cone 06 or lower steel will probably be OK. The surface of the steel will oxidise and so get clearly thinner, keep that in mind. Generally your wire and the clay should not be in direct contact because they have different thermal expansion coefficients. Depends how rigid your wire is if it will lead to major damage to your piece. But if you wrap your wire with paper before you put clay around it it is probably OK as long as you don't enclose the entire thing with clay into a hollow space. But it also depends on what exactly you are trying to do, e.g. what kind of clay you are using. Mostly people use wire with clay for making beads. If that's what you are doing you can also look up bead making techniques.
- Q: Theres a Green Illumination wire from the factory setup, where do I connect that wire too on my aftermarket deck? Also theres a White/Blue wire that I dont know where it connects either?
- Metra Wire Harness part number 70-1002 is the wiring harness for your truck.
- Q: I have a 1983glastron cvx-16 and need to wire the lights, tach horn fuel guage there are 2 wires coming off the fuel guage one pink from the center and the other looks to be comming off of a bracket not conacted to the tanks fuel guage
- Wiring your gauges is pretty easy to do as there are only 3 wires per gauge. You have a positive, negative and sender wire.Your positive wire goes to the I which is the ignition terminal, the negative goes to the negative terminal and the sender wire to the S terminal. That's it,done. To make it a little easier I'll give you the usual colour's of the sender wires. OIL pressure = light blue Fuel =pink or yellow usually pink Tach=gray Temp=light brown or brown Trim sender=brown with a white stripe. Light wire for gauges=blue Your positive wire for your gauges is purple and this wire starts from your key switch, from the I terminal.I hope this helps.
