You didn't break the regulator. I have replaced enough of those thing to fill a dumpster. They have plastic parts in them that just wear out. However they are expensive BUT I do not recommend you changing it by you're self. The new one can fly apart on you if you don't handle it just right. And it's A BEAR to get back together!

Q: I found some cable online that I can use, but haven't had any experience with any of this.: I do not use anything but RG6 in my home, even for short lengths. If you want to try and can easily back it out and use RG6 if it doesn't work, then go for it. Otherwise, why risk it?

Q: i want to run a power cable from my battery from under the hood to my trunk for a amp that i want to power. i have a 94 mercury cougar. and i have seen it done under the car and through the firewall into the cockpit, if i want to run it through the firewall which way do i put it through? can someone send me a link to a pictured instructions? or just tell me how? thanx: if you run the power line in the cabin, run it on the opposite side of the RCA cables you are going to run from the deck to the amp. This will reduce any magnetic interference caused by current in the power line affecting the signal source.

Q: I installed a 40mm fan on the GPU heatsink that is drawing power from the 12v on the DVD power cable. I'm also thinking of installing a couple 4'' cold cathode lights. How much power can you draw from the 12v DVD power cable before it becomes unstable?: its not smart to attach anything to your 12v power on the dvd line it can cause problems to your 360 and your dvd drive. get your 12v directly from the power socket .

Q: And will it damage the PS2 it if I use it?: Google the voltage the PS2 used, and if the PS3's power cable voltage is the same as the PS2's power cable then it's all good. Hope that helps.

Q: It's the newest ps2 (the thin ps2) I have all cables. Except the power cable isn't the official power cable. Is that a problem?: It's impossible to tell if it's your PS2 or the cable. Best bet is you buy an original PS2 power cable and try it out. If the PS2 still doesn't power up, it's something wrong with your PS2 and you will have to get it repaired or buy a new one.

You'll need to check whether the 2 cords on your shelf have the correct fuse rating (probably 13A) in the plug.
