Q: Hi! I have a USB Nokia data cable. When I click the Get connected button in the PC Suite, it tells me to connect my cable to the computer and my phone to the cable. When I connect my cable to the PC it comes up with the Add Hardware wizard. Nokia says to select Install hardware automatically but windows says that it cant find the software needed to install! I have all the drivers on my PC and I don't know what to do!!!! Thanks!P.S I have a Nokia 3200 and the correct cable type!
Uninstall PC Suite completely. Get the latest version of Nokia PC Suite (ver 6.82) at nokia .uk/pcsuite It fixes a lot of problems found in earlier versions. Donwload install it. Dont connect the phone till PC Suite instructs you to.
Q: i went to the metro pcs store and i asked them for data cable they said there is no data cable for it and where is sd card located in the phone cuz i can't find it
there is a datacable and u need the software for it too jus go onto like yahoo or google and type samsung r410 data cable and software thers a bunch of online cellphone stores that have them n they r pretty cheap too im gettin one in a couple days cuz its the only way to put ringtones n stuff on it ( good luck )
Q: I am new to this, I bought the motokrzr phone with all accessories, and have been adding music to the phone via data cable to the memory card, not phone memory and would like to now set some of these songs for ring tones.
Look at this site: motomodders / I have a RAZR. It has certain requirements for an .mp3 to be so that it can use it as a ringtone. Stuff like, under 200KB in filesize, certain bitrates, and 30 seconds I think; whatever. Anyway, you can put the file on the phone anyway that you want. USB (Will need the correct drivers), Bluetooth, or D/L it. P2K programs seem to come with the drivers needed to connect to a phone for file transfering. My phone won't be able to use the .mp3 as a ringtone untill I use a P2K program (like P2K Manager) to delete 2 certain .db files. Then, when the phone is restarted it recreates the files and the .mp3s show up and can be selected as ringtones. Someday all products will come with the neccessary software and whatever to actually easily do things with it that people thought that they'd be able to do in the first place.
Q: Im getting a new ps3 and i deleted all the stuff for PlayStatio Home so i cant play it at all now so im wondering if i can get all my data and stuff on my new ps3 just by signing in to my account or do i have to use the erhernet cable
You have to use an ethernet cable. You should already have one. The accounts on your old PS3 don't automatically get deactivated, you need to do it yourself. Everything will transfer over. Any copy-protected data, like some gamesaves and videos purchased from the PS Store, will be removed from your old PS3 after they are copied onto the new one. Read this thoroughly before you start and follow the instructions exactly: manuals.playstation /document/ ransferutility.html
Q: I have a non working Samsung SGH t629 phone, battery works when i charge but i cant turn it on, if i use the data cable, does the phone have to be on for me to transfer my stuff
You can try it but I do not think it will work if the phone doesn't work
Q: I am trying to use my data cable for my sanyo phone. My computer is saying I need to install a driver before I can use it.
You can either download it or find it on a cd that it came with. As for which one, google is your friend.
Q: I bought a Samsung E2550 (Black Monte Slider) recently also a data cable for it too. What I want to know is: Will the cable phone connected to a PC be sufficient to transfer files etc or do I need to install a driver for the Data cable too?
What you need to do (this is easy) is get an sd or micro SD card for the phone, insert that into the slot, and then connect the usb cable. Even though the cable is attached to the phone, you're really syncing to the card, and you don't need a driver for that. Youy may have to then go into the phone settings and look for something like USB mass storage (the phone might offer to do this when you connect). The SD card will show up on your windows explorer as a removable drive. You can then copy to it as you would to a directory on the HD or a flash drive (explore the card first, you may need to copy to specific folders). This sounds harder than it really is - bit you'll soon find this more practical than iTunes because you're not using a specific piece of software that (among other things) limits your ability to copy FROM the device to your computer. I've been doing this for years since I got a Verizon Voyager about 2 years ago (since replaced). Doing it this way, I can watch videos, look at pictures and listen to mp3 files on my phone. Best of all, when you replace your phone, you can just take the card out and put it in your new phone - no need to copy them again.
Q: All of a sudden, my DVD drive stopped working right when I wanted to restore Windows 7 back on it to un-clutter everything. I start up my computer, take out the data cable, it works, the light indicator is bright. When I put the data transfer cable in, it stops working, and the green light isn't lime green, its very very dim. What can I do?
i think you need to replace it they do not cost much.
Q: I just got a new samsung D900 ,im trying to put songs on it and it just comes up the connection wizzard thing , i do everything it says then it says connect your phone now , this may take a few minutes , now its up to 300secs and it has been further before but I took it out and put it back in , It doesn't work !!Why do you think !?!?PLEASE HELP Usss O ] !!FANKS ;)

Q: I just got a new vx9900 (enV) and I've read that you have to pay $30-40 to 'enable' data transfers from your PC to your phone (music, pics, contacts, etc). Is there a way around that? What exactly are you paying for?I have also read that you can simply download drivers that let you connect your phone+computer for seamless transfers. I'm confused! HELP!
