Product Advantages:

1)Incombustibility/Non-flammability: Consmos Calcium silicate board is non-flammable and conforms to the national grade A standard (GB8624 Grade A) with excellent fire resistance property. In case of fire, the board will not burn and not give off toxic smoke.

(2)Thermal/heat insulation: Owing to low heat conductivity, the product has good performances on keeping warm and heat insulation.

(3)Water-proofing and moistureproof: The product is allowed to long-term exposure to moist environment but still very stable. The board still keeps intact after being soaked in water for one month, the phenomenon of swelling and out of shape will not happen. It has good adjusting mechanics like woods. Even it is used on wash house.

(5)Noise-proofing: Consmos Calcium silicate board provides good insulation against noise.

(6)High-Strength and Light weight: The board is light weight, in this case, it can decrease weight of building greatly. At the same time, the material is high-stength and not easy to be damaged.

(7)Easiness to installation: The construction process does not require complicated tools but just the ones used in regular wood construction. Our board can be fixed on light steel frame with self-attachable screws or a glue gun to nail the bolts into the wooden frame.

Q:i glued a piece of regular printer paper to a piece of matboard as part of an art project. since i applied rubber cement to both the paper and the board, it bonded quite strongly. the problem is that now i have to remove the paper with the least amount of damage to the matboard. the paper is white and the board is black. its been over a week since i glued the two together. HELP!! i need this for school and it has to look good...any suggestions??im going to throw the paper away, so that can be damaged in the process. no problem.
hair dryer to warm it and peel real slow...?
Q:What kind of cirrcular saw blade do I use to cut cement board?
you can use a diamond blade to cut cement boards, gets pretty dusty though but can be pretty helpful when there are a lot of obstructions to cut around
Q:Iam building a dry stack wall and the home store said to use cement broad and wire mess .
I assume you mean cement board and wire mesh. I would use the mesh - it's cheap and it will improve the stability of the finished construction.
Q:I am planning on doing cement around bath and shower in my home. i already have cement backer board up and wire mesh screening. what do i use to make it not crack and smooth and what material do i use
You what now? As long as you framed it properly it should be fine. Why not just get/ build a whole new tub? To answer your question more to the point... Tile it. Or use some kind of vinyl sheet tub surround. Its easy to work with/customize to your needs and installs easily with glue. Just make sure you seal it well and secure the edges so they don't wiggle or you'll get mold in behind it.
Q:We have a home built in 1999 in the Gulf Coast area. On either side of the front entrance are flat cement board posts and above is a lintel. Last year I noticed the lintel was starting to have a gap between the brick and lintel itself as well as pulling away the top of one of the posts. I used heavy-duty exterior adhesive to try to reattach (used the ladder against it as pressure). I caulked and painted afterwards. Now, the separation is back, but much worse. I'm not even sure who to call to look at this. If I know why this happened, I could better figure out the next steps. Any ideas (I can find nothing through my research).
Well you've got some serious movement going on for sure. However I doubt it's the house bc anything to do with the main foundation would have shown itself long before this.I'd be looking at whatever those posts are anchored to myself.
Q:Hi I was thinking of bonding Hardiflex Fiber Cement Board to a Wood Chipboard, I want to know if it is possible to bond this two things using D3 Wood Glue? Will They be bonded with same strength as wood to wood? Thanks!
The problem is that the chipboard may not be rated to support the cement board. If it has flex, the cementboard will crack and so will the tile. Go back to Home Depot.
Q:I am building a balcony. We were going to do tile, but may do a waterproof product instead. There is currently cement board glued (not screwed) to the torch down. Screws were not used because we don't want to have an area where water can seep in. Now I am worried about the glue failing and the cement boards lifting (same issue with tile come to think of it). Is the glue enough to hold down the cement board so I won't have problems in the future?
If your to do ceramic tile then yes you need to screw and glue: it down. This glue isnt really to hold it down like most people think, its part of the support base for ceramic. You still must nail or screw it down in the require amount in the field ( 8 on center and seams a minimum of 4/6 apart.) If you live in a climate that gets cold enough for freezing , the I recommend you don t use a ceramic or porcelain tile ( frost proof or not) Using a cement board isn t the proper way to do an exposed balcony , even to rain. You need to treat it as a shower flooring and use a drain , liner , and s special cement to form a slight slope to the drain from all direction. It is possible ( Ive never done it yet) to properly do a cement board and water proof the top . The water proofing will have to be flashed up the sides to make a water proof flooring and still incorporate a draining system. If you have any questions you can e mail me through my avatar and check my qualifications there. GL
Q:Can you hang outside garden wall hangings on fiber cement board siding and what is the best way to do it?
Decorative Cement Board
Q:I need to raise a bathroom floor about 3/4 inch. I have already poured a thin layer of self leveling concrete over what appeared to be some sort of concrete floor that had some uneven areas (60 year old house). I have read about how you are not supposed to put backer board on concrete because you can't secure it. My question is this: could you lay the backer board on top of the SLC, leave some small gaps between the boards, and then pour another layer of SLC on top of the backer board, thereby cementing it into place??
I'm a tiler and a Hardwood installer. Backer board is specifically used for tile. The board is designed to created a strong and rigid bond to the subfloor. There's always movement in a structure and if you skip backerboard then your tile moves with the natural flexing of the house causing cracking in the tile and grout. Viny is flexible so all you need to do is to remove existing flooring and lay right on the subfloor.
Q:How to deal with the cracks in cement foam board
The quality of fly ash and the cracking of sheet metal also have a very important relationship. Powder burning ash is burned the remaining waste of coal, which has a lot of chemical composition, some ingredients do not need to do insulation board, and will react with the existing material, so that the foam cement insulation board Production to adversely affect the solution to this problem is to try a number of manufacturers of fly ash, more raw out of the quality of the plate.
